Well the gearing is low already. But it was a different clutch to drive with thats for sure. Was grabby but I liked it.

Dual cases was something I thought Id do one day. Not sure I'll bother though or not at this point.

 

haha theres 5 of us living in a "2" bedroom. 2 closets have been converted to rooms. Such a typical ski bum kind of house, so much fun

I'm blaming climate change.

The problem is not the location, the problem is the amount of people competing for such a small space. If we had the population of Powell or Columbus, it would not take 90 minutes to go 1.5 miles in the morning commute.

They're hardened. Blades don't work well unless they're carbide. Big abrasive cutter like a huge grinder works better. Also yes that whole job sucks and I think I told you that. Took four of us to do Mike's truck in a full day, and even then we needed more time

 

Get better blades, it'll take you less time to run to the hardware store and get some carbide tipped blades for thick metal. Don't let the blades get too hot or they'll dull out and then you're just using a vibrator to tickle the truck for all it's gonna do.

 

Not that safe..but Id get a 6'' cutoff wheel and slap it on your grinder. It'll work much better. Just wear some good big gloves and thick pants and all the good PPE

If you have one cam free or a bolt with the same OD you can drive them out with a small sledge and elbow grease

 

Grinder works way better. You can rent a 9” grinder/disc sander/electric dog polisher or whatever you want to call it at Lowe’s/HD and get a couple big discs for it. Go to town.

Actually cutting Mike’s out only took 30 min. It was the rest that was a pain in the ass.

 

i used these and a milwakee cordless sawzall, used one blade was all but super awkward to hold onto. I only had to do my passenger side as the cams froze and my LBJ rusted and had some play probably bc the boot tore 30k miles ago. Pain in the ass for sure, put some anti seize on the cams for future attempts

 

The effort you guys guys put in that day was amazing.
