    Not 3x, its actually a little less than 2x. The 3/16th steel set is 124# and the Aluminum is 63# and the 1/8th steel is 83#. So some weight savings but not as much as you suggest and I'm betting 63# is not less than the stock skids.

    IMO, the aluminum price makes it not worth it. The cost adds about $400 and would be $1100 shipped. It's

    Aluminum: $982 + 114.11 = 1096.11
    Steel : $575 + $122.14 = $697.14

    The problem with aluminum is that it's not nearly as tough as steel, so dragging it over rocks would do a lot more damage. You have to increase the thickness quite a bit to get even close to the strength of steel, so the weight savings end up not being as good as they could be.

    Now titanium skids, that's a different story...

    yeah okay seeing the real numbers makes me remember. So a full set of skits is only 13lbs more than the stock skids. Thats awesome.

    And yeah 1/2 the weight. Thats a lot. Considering how heavy the rigs can get. I think its worth the effort..other than the cost.

    But again. Is steel really needed? You aren't doing anything crazy hardcore anymore. And I know Igor never will either. So why not go for a more light weight solution that will still protect you in the rare occasion you need it.

    Baller status there! haha

    Right not saying they are as strong. Purely making the argument that if one isn't planning on doing trails that requires heavy skid use. Why not go for the aluminum?

    Probably tweaked from the jack a bit. Just brace it standing up then put a piece of wood on it and smack it a few times with a sledge. Or have the lady do it :p

    A little late now :oops:, but I recall putting a ratchet strap around the LCA arms to prevent spreading when we used the bottle jack to press out the old bushings.

    I felt like I could feel a difference right away with the whitelines. Especially under hard braking. Notice any differences yourself?

    The way the bushings are i think you have to press them out from the inside.

    We used the press for the passenger side. The problem on the driver side was that we couldn't get the sleeves out of the bushings, and so the threaded rod didn't fit through.
