Or there’s a shop in Santaquin that’ll do it too.

    I’m sure there’s 100 shops that you’ll pass that’ll do it.

    Fuckin hell.

Broke two of the bed bolts nuts. Only way to get to them is to holesaw through the top of the bed unless someone's else knows something?

That’s the only way I’ve heard.

Maybe you could cut the head off the bolt and get it off and figure something else out to put it back on, can’t remember what it was like when I took my bed off.

Between You and Ben it seems the 1st gen gods are trying to tell everyone something.

I'd probably cut a slot through the side of the cross bar that the captive nuts are in to get on it before I'd cut a hole through the bed. Either way sucks, that's a terrible design.

Not a bad idea other than it weakens where the bed makes contact with the mount.

I'll probably cut through the bed. Already done it on Frank once. Horid design .

No shit. The message is these truck are getting really freaking old

why didn't you just buy a new rod end? fraction of the price and could probably have it in the same time.

I don't have the tools to do it myself in my tiny garage. I know it usually take a very large effort to get the rod ends off. I don't have time to dick with it and I've wanted to replace them for a while with ADS anyways.

I'll still rebuild them and use them on the daily.

the hardest part of that job would have been the coils, which i wont disagree that they are a pain. But other then that it wouldn't be that bad. a small garage is a poor excuse. @Squeaky Penguin and i did a regear on a 2001 xj in a small one car garage with minimal room to move around.

not trying to be a dick, i just don't see the justification of that kind of expense. but that is just me.

Trust me. Normally that would be my way of doing it. But I don't think you realize how small my garage is haha I can't even pull all the way in it if I want to work as well. Hell I barely fit through the door. It's also not heated and more importantly than the space I don't have the tools. I'd at least need a good vice and I don't have one or anywhere to put one. It's a rental so don't wanna change too much stuff.

It is a large expense. But one I was going to take anyways and I'd rather something not set me back further from missing my trip.

Right now trying to also fix the other truck..
    IMG_20190317_182205.jpg

Which I pulled the fuel pump and running 12v to it it runs. So I don't think the pump was bad.

Fitting the areo 340 is a pita..

But I don't think this is going to fix the truck. Not sure what could be causing it now..

The rod ends are a bitch in the sea to get apart too, atleast from what I’ve read.

Where does the fuel pump get power from? Measured at the pulg with the key is run position and it shows no voltage at all. Where does it ground at?

Yeah think I found a wiring diagram that kind of shows how it works it's pretty complex with multiple relays being engaged can I have Devin come crank the car while I measure

While right now it's not as capable as my 1st gen, it is way more comfortable for trips and is nice to start fresh.

Too late now. Haha dropped the tank. Had to modify the hanger for the new pump so didn't get it back up in the truck. Dark now.

Got one caliper swapped. Might just rock it like that for a bit.
