Does anyone know what the conditions are out there right now? I will be coming out early Jan and am trying to decide 287 from Fort collins or I-80. I do have the book marks for the road conditions that I will check right before I leave to see which one is actually open. Which one would you recommend?

Packed yes, Will I wear them most likely not. I tried my hardest last year to wear my sperry topsiders and my shorts throughout the winter. I did for the most part.

I know 287 is sketchy. I wrecked near tie siding on 287 last march. I-80 I hate because on the pass between Cheyenne and laramie I have to drop to 3rd and run 4500 rpm to keep 55mph.

Worst comes to worst I can stay on the Cheyenne air force base and wait a day or two till it clears a lil bit.

Going up that hill towards abe lincoln's head on the interstate is the worst. makes me die a lil on the inside to hear the engine rev so high especially with my afe cai that thing is loud as shit at the high rpms.

Most of the trips I did over it was no weight other than me and a full tank of gas. This time I will most likely have a trailer behind me.

    HA!..jesus..haha

me? pfff..idk. I like a lot of it..so much good music out there in that catigory..i tend to like composers more then the movies themselves..

    the typicals..Williams, Zimmer of course..

but i like Brian Tyler, Micheal Giacchino, Howard Shore, A.R. Rahman and many more.

i love it. I still think recording and mixing movie scores would be a dream job..hard job..but fun.

Speaking of which, David Slonaker just did a big band CD..up for a grammy now. Some sweet studio vids. Also, 3 of my favorite trumpet players in the section, include the legendary Wayne Bergeron(AMAZING lead player/studio player. Plays in Gordan Goodwins Big Phat Band. unreal player) and Rick Bapst(You litereally have not heard this guy if you have watch a movie. Think he has played in over 1500+ movie sound tracks.) a movie i know you have heard them team up in is probably the Incredibles, composed by Micheal Giacchino. Screaming trumpets? yea..those guys. Killer players.

But Dave is a world class orchestrator and arranger and just did this CD. Up for a grammer. LOVE the clarity and space of the recording. Rick Brean did it and man..killer. I wanna work for that guy! haha
    Check it: http://www.daveslonaker.com/bigband/cds/index.php

in the shop everyone switches their phones or Ipods into the radio, very rarely is it just on the radio.
