yeah 50miles a day adds up fast. Why i tried driving the SX most the time, that and its fun. But it already has 300K+ on it most likely.

 

Utah in general is pretty amazing last year we spent some time in Moab, Capital Reef, and Escalante but we went at a much better time of year. We're hoping to get back in the area spring of next year and spend some more time in Canyonlands, Zion and, Capital Reef again. Anyway because we're cutting it close on time we'll stop at Island in the Sky. Depending on how feel might try to do a portion of Lathrop trial (hiking) and on our way out we'll take Shafer Trail to the Potash ponds out to Hwy 191 up to Arches spend a little time there and end the day with some beer and food in Moab before we head back to Albuquerque the following day.

 

whats wrong with the heads?

And...well..maybe? haha who knows how long the speedo hasn't worked. Gonna pay someone to do that job. I don't want to mess with the damn cable.

Why not just pull the heads to look? A new head can't be that much.

 

Well..I'd look at it now. If its just a gasket then you can fix it before it becomes a head issue.

But thats pricier than I thought it would be. Must include cams, valves, springs and such too.

 

So I knicked my main crank pulley trying to use a spider puller. Thinking a little file and wire wheel should smooth it up. Don’t see how that spot could wear the belt if it’s smoothed out. Opinions?

 

Ouch.

Might be okay though. Could definitely also just eat your belt up.

Almost 288k IIRC. Haven't driven it in a month so don't remember exactly.

 

I meant how many miles since you've owned it? Like what did it start at when you acquired it?

 

Oh. Knowing you I just assumed that was a typo.

It rolled 201k on the drive home from me buying it in March of 2012.

My commute was only ever like 3 miles, except for a year where it was 20ish, and I haven't DDed it for 3 years now.

 

Nice! Figured you were close to 100k. Thought you were around 200k when you got it but couldn't remember.













Side note, not sure most will enjoy this kind of music. But I mixed it and think its kind of a cool track.

Send it. As long as the belt alignment is good, I don't see it being an issue.

oohh ill give it a listen. Beats should provide decent sound quality.
side note, my sub seems to never cut out when im listening to my phone plugged into my HU via aux cord, but when i listen to the radio it happens waaaaaaay more frequently. Something is fuuuuuukd

 

wow. holy jesus that a dope sounding track. what exactly did you do to it? not knowing the details in the lifecycle in creating music...you were managing the recording and composing the track? adding some beats? what exactly?

I did not do any of the recording or producing. I just mixed it. So I had raw audio tracks and the arrangement was already done. I just blended it and balanced it. Added effects and stuff like that. I tweaked the arrangement a bit and had some fun with the filtering and other stuff.

So adding space and depth and making it sound good and exciting is what I did more or less. The mix.

Was fun to do. I only spent like 5 hours on it as it was for a mix competition and I forgot about it until the day it was due haha

Doubt I'll win but was still fun to mess with. A nice break from the solo Piano records Im currently producing and editing.

 

can you post the "pre monte" and "post monte" for us uneducated folks
