Wyoming B.S. Thread

Dang that’s a nice price and a sweet house! I’ve been watching Landers realty scene and have been cringing at the prices compared to here (and all the tiny garages). But I applied to two fish bio positions in Alaska and now I just cry myself to sleep at the idea of the mortgage we will have there .

 

That's fair I guess. We have all our needs and wants in mind. Know what we want and all that.

It just takes time to get shit from a bank and stuff I just don't see how you can do same day. Least for me.

That said. After running the numbers I'd be at 37% or so of my income for just the mortgage. Too high for me so gotta pass. To bad though was an awesome property

Haha Alaska is a different world in a lot of ways. But everything costs more there by a lot.

 

You shouldn't need anything from the bank in order to make an offer. Get preapproved at the bank/mortgage broker for some size loan, and if the house is under that amount (or really, the amount you're comfortable with b/c they will always approve you for something WAY too large), offer away.

If your agent hasn't told you this part, I'd look for a different agent .

 

Im preapproved. By like...everyone I've talked too. Thats the only way a realtor will work with you.

But as I haven't made an offer yet. I don't know what all needs to be in line.

Either way. I couldn't afford it so Im not to beat up about it.

 

My roommates went to put an offer on a place just hours after it was listed and there were already 4 offers higher than what the asking price was. Wyoming isn't as bad as Colorado yet...

Parts of MT are getting that bad im sure. Mainly Bozeman and spreading to Livingston I think

I could probably get a job working at either Big Sky or the Yellowstone Club but the housing is the reason I won't even entertain the idea.

Found a great house. Smaller everything. But big shop. Great water. Great land. Little cheaper. Really like it! It's not listed yet either which is good.

 

Place is for the millionaires now. No one that works there lives there haha My Aunt and Uncle have a house in town still...barely. Property tax on it is so high, between 3 families(its been in the family on my uncles side forever) they can barely afford it.

Headed out to find this mythical hole in the Rock hike trail in Wyoming some guy told us about during our pre running of The Tour a while back. Should be interesting

 

I spotted these unusual droppings a few days ago. From the location, these were from somewhere around the right rear axle but they didn't have the typical gear oil smell. Hmmm...





Today I got a chance to do a full inspection and assessment of the truck after last weeks adventure and found the source of the fluids. Both rear Foxes are puking fluid. I knew it was getting close to time for another rebuild as it has been about 35K miles since the last time when Marc @SconnieHailer did it.




I'm placing full blame on Dan @turbodb and Monte @Blackdawg and the Eagle Creek trail/road/rock garden for this. Might was well throw in ADS as the instigator.

All I was trying to do was keep up.

 

Was a bust .Did drive some cool new area though. Half way there though a power steering line came off and I didn't have fluid. So had to go back to town. Camped at the Pryor's now.

 

That sucks. Seems unusual. Which line came off?
