I pretty much use some Milwaukee tool everyday, go all in buddy.

 

That is the best time to visit, you still may encounter some crowds.

I’m kidding of course, responsible off-road users need to create a lobby in D.C. that not only maintains current areas, but opens more up.

 

Not that that is a good thing either. States are broke and can't afford to up keep all the land and will likely sell it off.

 

I guess I’m American selfish, I’d be willing to pay 2k personally a year for trail maintenance and continuing development of trails, since it’s something I value. If we don’t band together to preserve public use lands I’m afraid Monte is right. They will sell them, because our wheel isn’t that squeaky

 

Yeah but not everyone would. People don't like paying taxes period.

 

You “overlanders” wouldn’t be alone with all that either, there’s the rest of the outdoor industry that use those roads too.

 

I’m not suggesting a tax, just private funding to USFS and BLM to preserve what we all value. Obviously in the current climate a lobby component would have to be part of this. Ostensibly we could call it a sportsman’s fund.

 

Tons of foundations already fighting to keep stuff public too.

 

You'd be surprised at how bad of a rep offroading has in the outdoor community.

Not saying it couldn't work. But I have my doubt that would work for an extended period

 

True I guess, but a lot of the roads, at least on the forests and a lot of blm ground get used by hunter, anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Like the road Ben get locked out of this weekend.

 

But none with enough weight to get right aways through “wilderness “ areas and to open up new trails on public lands. I’m saying all sportsman need to band together, with enough money and votes to make Washington listen.

Yeah that's his handle. Johnny is his first name.

He is amazingly good at it. That's a small bit of what he's done. Can't wait to use more of it.
