Sad about the taco. What are you replacing it with?

 

Started de-constructing the old ext cab and moving stuff to the DC over the weekend. Not running yet but I'm going to turn it back into a work truck so I can offload the haze. Also started our penny floor in front of the stove.

 

Nice! What all needs to happen to get the diesel running?

 

Ordered this last week to be able to read the ECU better. Hoping it will give me more insight on what is going on since my regular OBD2 reader won't connect. Between that and figuring out the loss of fuel prime I'm hoping to figure it out soon.

 

Any word on Morrison and Goose, Monte?

Still hoping to hit those in a couple weeks if possible.

 

I meant to call last week. Goose I'd guess is open with snow in spots and on the peaks. Trail is likely fine. Morrison could still be closed. I'm going to call tomorrow to confirm as we might go to goose next weej

 

Yeah I have been very busy this last year. I'm not sure yet. I ride the motorcycle almost every day so I'll probably just roll with that for a short while if I get the Taco sold.

Not really sure what else I even like anymore to be honest lol. Considering a Silverado SS if I can find one close by with the right miles and price. It checks a lot of the boxes I'd be looking for in a vehicle right now.

 

So little truck won't start again. Battery is fine headlights work ect. However the dash doesn't light up and nothing ignition power doesn't either. Checked all fuses and nothing.

Hoping it's not the ignition switch. Isn't that in the key barrel itself?

 

Doesn't light up as you need power via ignition.

Sometimes I'd do that when it wouldn't crank though

 

Did you check the main relay under da hood?

 

Which one? The starter relay? I pulled them all a while ago to reseat them in case they needed back when I was having other starting issues. Didn't think the ignition power was relayed though just fused.

 

Check your big three ground connections for corrosion.

 

That's what I figured it was at first. Have had corrosion build up issues on the positive cable. Didn't see anything bad but I'll look again tomorrow hopefully.

 

True. I just cleaned most of that when I replaced the battery though. And the head lights work fine and everything else that doesn't need ignition power..
