For the most part, I think taking pictures detracts from my experience while on a trip.

It is nice, however, when I have a picture really turn out awesome, and with my abilities, that doesn't happen too frequently.

 

Taking pictures does seem to take away from the experience, and seem to take a lot of time but I love being able to look at things from like 8 years ago that probably would have been forgot other wise.



You guys know of any cheaper places that print pictures? Walmart seems to be the cheapest so far.


I only want to print 3600 pictures

 

Oh man having a tracking tripod would be sweet.

I wouldnt let moon light scare you away. I did this during a full moon.







I think photography makes me appreciate the trip more. You see things differently and you can enjoy it again later.

 

Not really. But you can still shoot with the moon was my point.


With that 5d of yours you should be able to shoot at like 4-8000iso and get something stellar.

This is at like 5000



That's why I want a better camera really. Better low light performance.

well today is my lucky day.

Just driving home from work. Ran over something. Heard it, felt it, but never saw it.

Tire went flat in less than a quarter mile.

 

The good news is I have one of those compact spares. And it still has some air in it.

The bad news is I can't get it out.

It has this cap thingie that is supposed to turn the retaining bolt. But all it does is spin.

Anyone ever used one of these?

 

Oh yeah I have definitely had to break those before to get the spare out. I’d just put the tire iron under it and bust it.

How old are your inner tie rods?

When's the last time you checked the torque on the bolts? All of them are 123ft/lbs except the big on on the driver side is 141

 

Ben, the very similar noises I had, random poping and whatnot, went away when I replaced the rack and iTREs and the lower control arm bushings. All of mine were original and had ~180K on them.

Since then, one of the noises returned for a while and it turned out to be the passenger side, lower shock bearing.

Shocks aren't impossible for it to be the issue. Think of how many people hear the sway bar clicking after lifting.

What was the condition of them when you put them on? Keep in mind the lower heims will wear out fast depending on the conditions they experience.
