    My seals always seem to burp and then never leak again.

    Or they just seep all the time and I never notice :anonymous:

    @turbodb

    Heres what i was talking about. Vertical pieces seem like they would take up more space but be strong. Could do dual spares this way.

    Or this one which is simplier but id guess moves a lot https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...custom-1-ton-sas.287390/page-30#post-10236447

    Id still be a bit worried about movement, would just have to get the clearances right.

    Thanks. Man, that looks beef. But anti-weight shedding too. I am wondering if I need to so some reinforcement like @drr now though, so I don't end up with a ratchet strap back there.

    So true. I mean sure, I had a bit of drama this last trip, but it's so nice to put on 70K/yr on a 19 year old truck and not really have to worry about it. One of the best decisions I had no idea I was making it when I purchased it over a Frontier back in late '99!

    Glad you guys had a great trip!

    Sent home. :laugh:

    This seems a little overly dramatic to me. We both shared our experience with this very same failure. Laid the cards out and let you decide what your best option was.

    Actually, at the time, I was a bit surprised you didn't risk it and continue on to moly with us. But figured you knew what was best for you to live with yourself.

    Hindsight is 20-20 so... But in hindsight, you made the right choice IMO. Moly was pretty torn up and would have made the truck work pretty hard. It certainly was not nearly as 'easy' as the last time we were there.

    No just the bed

    Ditto. I just did almost 3000. A LOT of dirt too. Still did 80 on the way home.

    Not really. He used all 16ga steel. That was the last post i quoted. So lighter material. But the rack didn't have to be that many legs so it could be lighter.

    It's grown on me as I've listened to it more. The album is great, probably more so for an audio engineer.

    Hmm, that's a perfect size.

    No mention of engine size either. Dead giveaway for it having a 2.7L.
