Oh yeah body bushings, guess I'll add those to the list too, forgot those were a thing. I'm not surprised Beartooth is closed already, early though. I want to run that in the Z at some point, bet it would be fun.

I'm sure it would. And it's a bit early. Would have been nice if they kept it open through Oct. Wyoming didn't want to bother though ha

    Damn.

SXS park license. 100$ per day should do it. If you can afford one you can pay the license for your inevitable damage :spending:

Blanket statement sure but we've all seen too many asshats to feel good about it.

    @Pltmnky I'm sure youre a responsible SXS'r...

Yeah we've all seen what they can do in a relatively short time.

There should be more to just buying an ohv sticker. Some sort of class should be required. People visiting from other places don't understand how fragile these environments can be.

Hopefully there will be massive penalties for going off trail that would then be put back into the infrastructure.

Beef up the bed crossmembers if you can.

Don't need one. Mine are like that on Frank. Scared to look at Igor.

But that's the mounts not the cross member.

Cross member and boxed frame will mean less frame flex and more energy through the shocks. Not a big deal for you since you're not using custom valving and tuning your shocks.

I think one could buy some 1/8" C channel that would fit over the stock channel and just stich weld about 6" at each side by the mounts.

Only pita part is drilling a hole for the bolt. Actually though I'd drill out the stock nut since it's spot welded and breaks.(3 of mine have) and just super weld a new nut on the 1/8 360° around it. Then it'll never come off.

    *cough* bullsh!t *cough* :luvya:

That "camper" doesn't weigh any more than your rack and tent. And both of you guys have a reasonably light load back there (compared to the rest of us) otherwise. I think Brett said he was around 4800 lbs, below where I believe you were when we weighed ourselves earlier this summer.

Edit: By the way, I think you're plan to paint everything back there is a great idea. I took the opportunity to do that when I had my bed off, and it's still great.

If you don't mind spending the time, get a cheap ($15) sand blaster and some sandbox sand and use that to strip the paint in places that are hard to reach. Worked a treat for me, and was just an investment of time really.

Agreed. One of my projects this winter.

Might start with a $500 deposit, hahahahah. then a smaller OSK, thinner mid-skid, etc. Hoping to shed ~500 lbs by the time I'm done. Little bit at a time.
