    your welding that much at the new gig? Cool. Figured you'd be doing more machining.

    Thanks! I was pretty happy with them as well. Should have seen me wielding the 450a bad boy welder with dual shield this morning. Honestly the gun was so massive it felt awkward, but man did it burn the ends of those hinge pins in quick and strong.

    It really is, and it's not even our most powerful MIG welder. We have a 650a huge bastard of a welder that's used for laying 1" beads to join 2" thick chunks of steel in a single pass.

    I'm enjoying the practice, it's giving me the opportunity to fine tune methods.

    I didn't think you'd be welding that much. But sounds like a good time!

    I didn't think so either. Theres usually only two weld/Fab guys. But one is out injured from something and the boss knew I wasn't completely foreign to welding. These had to go to the zinc plating guys today and the other welder was in the middle of a job so I got to do this instead of my usual gig. Probably gonna be for the rest of next week too.

    @Blackdawg

    Monte, I have questions. With your MCM LT kit and 35s.... how much tubbing is actually needed? I have regrets from my last two trucks I aim to rectify with this one

    I tubbed before 35s. But basically you'd still have to but only about the first 5" in set of the wheel well. Compared to like 12". But the area by the door has to go.

    I know a build on here that shows how much for just lt and 35s. I just need to remember who it was..

    Hmm, that sounds like it's significantly less. I just wondered if they intersected in the same spot no matter what, I didn't realize that much came out for stock arms. Well that's good to know. I was sitting on the couch thinking the other night and my roommate and his girlfriend who wheels walk in and ask why the 35s in the garage aren't on the truck. I honestly didn't have a good reason for them. Then I thought, why not do the LT I always wanted to do.... so now I guess that's what I'm doing. No reason not to and to be quite frank (pun definitely intended) I really wasn't finding any joy in planning another MT build (it was just a bit too "been there and done that") and the LC while it would be dope to build up doesn't let me hoon around fast as easily in the dirt because it's solid axle.

    This was the exact reason I knew you'd be back in a Taco before long :laugh:

    LT is great. However, you have a great truck. Do right. Start gusseting EVERYTHING first.

    look forward to the build. Even though it probably won't be done for a year or more if it's a real LT build
