Not my fault you're slow, haven't you removed a dash before, you swapped your whole cab without removing it? I've done it like 5 times now haha, it's cake

Well when coolant gets old and loses those additives that prevent corrosion you have the perfect mixture to make corrosion, three different metals, fluids, and heat. Rust color coolant isn't uncommon on your average car, because the average person never thinks to just change coolant.

yeah i did but like...shit idk. 6 years ago?

And the dash was easy really. The shit to get the heater wasn't. Plus by cross bar was like fused together. And the hoses were super glued to the tubes.

Yeah i'd like to do that. So I'll just drive Igor to work tomorrow and flush it. It seemed pretty dirty.

That said, there is actual orange coolant. So I don't think its a blend.

A quick search says its usually okay to mix orange and pink, but not anything with green.

You don't even have the AC box to contend with haha, what was tough about those, you just loosen all of the bar bolts and take off just the right side and everything slips right under. I got new heater hoses lat time because they seemed weak when I did mine.

No I don't have the burping funnel from the Timmy video. Thought about it. But honestly...didn't need it. If you just fill the engine up with fluid from the get go before the radiator...you don't have to burp it hardly at all.

Speaking of the AC..i have never had one without it. Mine had a funnel basically from the fan to the heater, but it had a very weird electrical thing in it. Almost looked like a heating element..no idea wtf it was. Do you?

Hell I took all the bar bolts off and it barely wants to move. Not sure why..but got everything out fine now. Aside from the core melting the firewall liner to itself..that wasn't fun either..haha

My hoses are fine really, soft feeling still. Look like they were replaced recently.

It's slowing down an amperage hungry brushed motor, you'd get hot too if you used thin wire to essentially voltage regulate and brushed motor

take off the upper radiator hose from the radiator side. Pour fluid down it until it stops flowing. Let it sink in. top off. Repeat till it stop sinking in. Attach to radiator. Causes a tiny spill but not much. This gets fluid all the way down the motor and to the pump, basically priming the whole system.

    Works well really.

But that tool is nice. I just didn't see the need. But for a full flush it would be handy. Doubt I can get it due to the holiday for when I have time.

    ah gotcha.

Yeah I just prefer not to DD Igor. Plus as bad weather rolls in the snow tires are on the lil truck so its better to drive. Aside from currently no heater or wiper fluid wording

Will certainly try, opting to take the cruiser to work tomorrow, and then after work straight across the state to be with the family for thanksgiving. It has better tires and handles the snow better than the Taco with it AT tires and no weight.
