I don't care much about 5G. It'll be a few years before it is the normal anyways. No need or desire to be one of the first.

 

Oh, I agree with you on 5g. I am not an early adopter either. This new phone is not 5g capable. All I was saying is that T-mobile is way ahead of Verizon with regards to 5g deployment. At least for the moment. We'll see what happens in the next couple of years with that.

I love mine too, its like a 4wd corolla doesn't get that good of MPGs though.

Speaking of MPGs and all... Well mine isn't quite as good as I had hoped. Still better that what I've been seeing. The drive from Cle Elum to Mazama netted 16.3 mpg for this fillup. This may not sound like that much, but it is significantly better from before for my truck. This route has no interstate, it is all 2 lane highway with lots of elevation changes. Speed limits of 60-65.

 

Also, got a new CEL code today. P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). I am guessing this is due to the missing Cat but not certain.

What is interesting is the P0505 code (IAC malfunction) did not come up this time. Not sure why as I still have the high idle.

Yeah, maybe. I passed on this idea when URD was offering theirs for $30 off on their black friday sales. Anyway, may not be necessary (except to turn off the dash light) as Washington is eliminating emissions testing requirements effective 1-1-2020.

 

Curious to see how often the P0420 comes up - if it's only occasionally then probably not worth messing with, if it gets annoying we can always throw an O2 simulator in there.
