yeah its weird. But also totally fine. I mean stores even here are closing earlier and resturants are doing take out only.

But stores are adapting, ours has limits to what people can buy and today ours was was better stocked. Im not that worried. Its an adjustment for all but everything on the other side won't be different. Be the same, just maybe people's outlook will be different on somethings.

Shit'll buff out. Some of the impacts will take a year I'd guess to come around. Im not worried yet. If by April things haven't started getting a bit better, then I'll be worried about the summer.

Im actually really happy to see most people taking it seriously. For a while there it was annoying on how much denial was going on.

 

Eh, it's still pretty divided, most of the guys I work with are blaming it on political parties and saying it's just the flu. :/ What can ya do, people man...

 

Cda has been relatively the same. First corona positive patient diagnosed today at our ER. He was from Spokane. Not sure why he came here lol. But the floor I nurse on is the rule out floor for corona virus. We have positive pressure rooms and have to be in full Ppe and n95 masks for 12 hrs basically. Hazard pay on top of my regular pay plus as many hours as I want. Crazy money. But I did go to the store once last week and now this week, last week it was empty and this week is was full again. Talked to the lady who said the surge cleared everything out. The disease itself is really just dangerous to people that are old or have other co morbidities. If any of us young people get it you will be fine. Just a really bad cough and maybe a fever for a week.

but it’s a total dick move to not practice social distancing and what not for those people at risk.

 

I’m getting real worried about the summer already, bear season starts next month and some counties are making it a class B misdemeanor to go out (Moab).

It a little like and earthquake. Our foundations have been shaken. It's forced us to see just how fragile the things we hold close, that we value most as important are.

 

Sometimes there isn't a clear path, sometimes it just takes time, and that's ok.

 

As we go thru life, there are always gonna be things that happen that get your attention. Some more than others. There are ups and downs always. Even tho things normalize in the long run, the needle is always moved from where it was and going back to the way things were is never completely possible.

ATM, the uncertainty is huge, and so is the realization that the needle has moved.

 

Yeah around here too. But as things close down more people are going...hmm. but still yeah.

Yeah I hope shits not under total lock down for 3 months. I'm feeling that by the end of April things will have calmed down. You can see how it's gone through other countries.

Other wise my work load is gonna be weird. No concert season would be super odd.

But it'll be fine if that happens too. I'll just get to create something else.

That's actually exciting to me. All the art already coming out from people just being holed up is great. That's going to be a big change and will ring through out art for a long while.

Im worried our concert season will be canceled. Would suck big time.

I don't really feel that shaken honestly and really that could be due to my location haha but things aren't bad really. I know of no one who's caught it and no one who's died from it. Not super likely I'll know the latter.

Plus I like being home haha I'm all about secluding myself in rooms for hours at a time

 

Actually there is a good chance you know someone who has it, but doesn't know they have it. Most young healthy people who get it have very mild symptoms. Well we had a meeting at work, we're hoping that we get deemed essential. It's sort of a given that lockdown is what the press conference for WA is about today. We supply paper mills, govt contracts of all kinds, lots of city work. There's hope for us

Oh, no by public spaces its basically places people congregate. Restaurants, bars, gyms, coffee shops, venues, ect.

 

Well the good news is our governor, who was expected to order a shelter in place like California, opted not to.

 

The only thing that a shelter in place order would add to what we already have here (seattle metro, western wa in general) is disallow business that don't have that 'essential' badge, to continue to operate.

And maybe, just maybe, they are seeing something in the numbers. Maybe, just maybe, the current rules are allowing the curve to start to flatten. Of course, if things change for the worse, we could still see a shelter in place order.

 

Yeah we ordered a bunch of take out tomorrow from our favorite place to give them something.
