You have a ways to go until you are reaching the limits of 33s @m3bassman. Just from what I noticed. I believe that you said something about the right tool for the job... Referring to a jeep for technical crawling when I did the hard line on the trail with you. I was on bald Coopers too, you mentioned you were not impressed with a few pages back. You do you, 35's do look awesome on these truck with minimal lift.

Are you locked in the front yet? Real skid plates?

33 + two lockers will get you a lot farther than 35s and one.

@m3bassman , not to pile on, but the idea of trying to MIG weld 14ga to the tin foil firewall metal gives me the creeps. Doing it with stick just sounds like blatant masochism. Either way, you’ll likely blow thru the body metal before you ever get good heat on the 14ga. Not to mention the issues of forming that Monty mentioned. The patches need more than a little concavity to clear the tires at full stuff and lock.

eh thats the thing. All art is subjective be it visual, aural, or whatever. Especially because no one person hears or sees or feels the same from the get go.

 

It may not be your eyes at all. Most likely the computer monitor.

@Blackdawg after viewing your 4 images on my calibrated monitor. I am going to change what I said. I like #2 and #3 on it best for the details in the shadows and colors, expecially the colors in the sky. I did see the red highlights before. That may be because of the wide gamut monitor I use to edit with tho. The colors are in the data but they may be outside of the colorspace of many standard sRGB monitors.

 

yeah that is were I noticed the biggest differences were the details and clarity of images overall. Like I said, the LR processed photos seem soft to me. Which I don't like.

 

I'm confused? I was under the impression you had been working from home. No? Is your employer still making you go into the office to do your work?

What exactly does 'a 21 day lockdown' mean? Is that the same as a shelter in place order?

 

I just go in to my store room and get some. We put away some essentials a few years ago for just such an occasion. Hopefully people will learn from this, and when things get back to normal will stock away some essentials a little at a time. We haven't done any shopping since this started. Figured we are good, leave everything for those that didn't plan ahead. We are however planning on going to town this afternoon to fill the wife's prescriptions. Be interesting to see what things are like. Haven't been to town in almost a month. I might pick up some oranges if they have them, ran out of fresh fruit a week ago.

 

True. I’ll be editing photos, step away for a bit and when I come back want to redo all of them because I was staring at them too long and didn’t make them look quite right...

Good point. I was using my laptop and briefly looked at them without expanding them or going directly to Flickr to view them.

After looking at them in more detail I do like #2 better except near the edges where I feel like there’s too much blue in the cliffs off in the distance, however the rest of the picture’s colors pop more in #2 imo.

I like the detail in the cliffs and shading of the sky of #3 more than #4 but like the lower contrast of the darker areas more in #4 that makes those areas show a lot more detail to me. If it was possible to lower the brightness of the right cliff slightly too as it seems almost too washed out.

Not that I should be judging these pictures too heavily as they all look better than most of mine haha

 

Officially have a stay in place order in MT now

 

our store was fully stocked today. Who knows how long that'll last though.

 

We got one here as of this morning.

Doesn't mean much. There's a huge list of essential business that can stay open. I'm considered essential, but have been working from home since last week.

Still get to go fishing too, or whatever other outdoor recreation I should choose.

 

Stay in place means no recreation also I assume?

 

I just have TP because I don't get low on essentials. But our stores are stocked again too so it's no biggie now.
