    That's way too long haha that puts you back in the era of almost 30min air ups haha fuck that.

    Been on the highway yet?

    I'm still saying until he regears his clutch is gonna be under a lot more abuse. Especially off-road.

    Nothing else should change much. But will get shit mileage too on 4.10s haha won't be able to use 5th gear on the highway so..

    He'll just have to go 90 on the highway to get good RPMs; which he's used to already...so I don't think that'll be an issue.

    I'll be interested to see what his LBJ life is like, and if he ends up with more stress cracks in various places. Will be interesting to compare to the previous history of the same truck IMO. Who knows, maybe this just accelerates the move to the orange truck...

    How are bigger tires going to add stress cracks? Or lbj wear??

    Only major place we're stress is added is drive train and steering.

    Weight and leverage. There's a lot of leverage and rotational force on those LBJs, and hanging more weight off the control arms isn't going to be great on that area of the truck. Like I said, will be interesting to see; I didn't say that he was going to blow stuff up immediately.

    Just sayin', I think we rarely see trucks on 35s that don't require a lot more work. (well, unless they just sit there, like Frank)

    Well...the lbjs mainly support the weight if the truck not the weight of the wheels. I don't see how bigger tires change the strain of the suspension and load on it.

    Steering and drive train.. different.

    Don't wait 3 years to replace your lbjʻs. Check them often.

    @Blackdawg I believe there are more forces acting on the lbj than you think. Turning is going to want to push the outside tire under the truck, vice versa for the inside. Another 1.5" of leverage from a 32. Even just driving straight and hitting a pot hole its going to put some sort of horizontal moment on the joint .
