Lol nah I don't care. Haha I still don't really that no it adds a ton extra to the ball joints with bigger tires. At least not enough to deem it a bad move from 33s to 35s.

    Alright new debate..

Solo wants me to send my lcas to them to check them and build a spacer for me. Lot of work to do that though truck is partially tore down anyways. So not a ton. I don't love the idea that the solution is to make a spacer that my washers were already doing. Doesn't seem like a fix to me.

I am not the only person that has had this issue either. Austin in here had it happen to him a couple weeks or so ago. Solo told me they've had one or two people that have had it happen but is rare. Seems odd. They also said they only run Moog ball joints which I found interesting.

    But..

Uppers need replaced on Igor as well.

May garage door is officially 95" wide. I think Frank is 80" wide at the tires, trying to get that confirmed. If so I could fit with the lt in the garage sort of. Which is tempting. But if I did that I'd need new fenders for Igor at least. New tires were coming as well and still hunting a transmission bug.

Also I can't go to wy to get Frank or parts from him due to lock down so there's that. Don't have room to store him up here either.

Idk I hate having to tear these out I guess and really thinking about slapping the lt on. But know that would cause a Cascade of other things I'd need to address

I'm with Ben @m3bassman that them making you spacers sounds seriously lame. If you want to run those with spacers, ask for some money back and use the ones we got from Tractor Supply, hahahahaha.

We all knew Igorenstein was coming, just a question of time. Of course, it'll mean you need another Tacoma too, to be your "reliable" overlanding rig, but that's no big deal. We all knew you'd get another one of those eventually too.

....now, if it were me, I'd just use the washers, try to get some money back, and get Igor into a good state on 33's - I mean you want Igor in a good state when you eventually turn it into Igorenstein anyway. Fix the bed, iron out the trans issue, rear suspension (though may be different I guess...), etc. etc.

PLUS... We all know you can run a trail on 33's that Ben runs on 35's anyway, so you don't have to be worried about that part of his equation. ;) ( :luvya: Ben)

Yeah didn't seem super willing to do that, but I didn't push it. I've been thinking about it more and I think I'll call them again tomorrow to see if this spacer goes on top or on bottom of the LCA. Because if it's on the bottom, no different than what I have now. And I also don't think its good as it just pulls the LBJ in more into the LCA which seems wrong to me for some reason?

Can' throw the lil truck wheels on. A) that's my DD ha and B) Igor has tundra brake's at least right now..so no 15s. No sure if I'd swap down to the small brakes or not at this point.

That said, it's still a question of width. I think I remember at one point measuring Frank's out side the wheels at go 80". So..should fit?

Build yourself some liners man. That's one thing I wish I'd done sooner. At least the front.

It certainly not a great sounding solution for the cost of them that's for sure. But there isn't an official warranty either so..

I would only pay shipping there to have this done. No other cost, but not gonna be cheap to ship these things either.

Lol I'd love to get a second back up rig :p I mean, my ideal plan was still to find another dbl cab and take a little time with welding in a lot of gussets in places and stuff. I am NOT confident that Igor's frame or coil buckets are straight at all. Certainly straighter than Franks..but not a lot.

I have the parts to get Igor back on the ground at least. Would fix the bed and bed rack. I don't wanna dick with the tranny though as swapping the 5spd in would be much more fun and what I'd want anyways. Rear suspension is a problem that needs addressed. But again, if I was going to swap Franks stuff over, Id take a different approach with the shocks if that were the case.

    And valid point

I tried to get him to just put on some 01-04 flares. I think he'd have been fine with those. Plus then he wouldn't have poop colored wheels.

Also you guy with LR UCAs do your bushings look like this? Or are they the split type?

    SPC light racing same thing.

I take it that those are the right bushings?

I'll call them tomorrow and see what's up. I'd like at least better clarification on what the fix is.

Y'all are boring right now, Ben has 35s, Dan's not arguing against it. Monte isn't pushing to have his stuff properly repaired.... Where's the damn fire, you've all become complacent!

I have a set here. But they had the old rubber bushings and I got the poly upgrade with them. Got them from a friend that started the upgrade and quickly said fuck that as you have to cut out the rubber ones which is a bitch.

Was just curious if your poly bushings we're the say or if they are a split bushing like how a lot of other UCAs and things are. Like your leaf springs for instance.

But sounds like these are the right ones.

It's because been was bored. Dan knows deep down he wants 35s. And I have nowhere to be because too much snow and travel restrictions! Haha

Mean while, why is your build...well...not happening? Haha

I keep buying other things instead. had a chance to get my dream car so I did that. And now I've been working on it. Can't go anywhere with the truck and it doesn't look like we're going to be able to for six to eight months so I still got plenty of time there. I do have parts for it I just need the motivation to put some of them on after I'm done baselining this car.

Things aren't just going to go right back to normal in a month or two. This is going to have long-lasting effects. I doubt we'll even see sporting events start up for a year or more and those are big money makers.

I can see big events like that not happening for awhile. I don’t think the travel restrictions will last much longer though.

We will see, if they're lifted too soon we may find them stricter and longer after a resurgence

Did you get them from SPC? I don't like this design..

Not sure if I'll use then in in igor or the long travel. But will use them on the dd if not on Igor.

    The amassing of parts haha

An is300 is a dream car? Cool. Gonna boost it?

I have a feeling this will happen. Lot if if peo are pushing for reopening now.

It's the only car I've wanted since I was a kid. It's seriously well built and it's a sedan, people think nothing of it, which I love. Sales were good but they're still uncommon to see daily. I don't much go for cars, but I almost bought one of these before I got my first Tacoma and not getting that one had left me regretful for a long time. Good examples of IS300s are few and far between, kids really fuck them up, do finding a nice one for a decent price was great. I'm going to boost the snot out of the GE. They hold just shy of 650 easy enough, I'm not greedy, Ill be pleased with 500. I don't have any turbo shit picked out yet, only have a Haltech 2500 plug n play.
