yea you have to see sky..haha its GPS...so that would be a horrible test haha

 

Well if your in a cave..no gps is gonna help you..period..haha or cellphone or anything..

Doesn't matter. You need at least 2 satellites to be able to triangulate your position. You need to see quite a bit of sky.

 

You were right on about the Duratracs, I finally picked up a set and they've been great in the snow.

i think my dad is FINALLY going to do that after me trying to get him to do it for like 2 years. Think he is gonna do retros too.

 

Yea, i don't think he is looking forward to spending 600ish on head lights...but damn it'll look amazing on his truck.

 

Monte I got the springs from Alcan. Will any flip kit work or is there a specific one I should get.

Just flipping the u-bolts. Like Marc did.

 

If you are talking about a u-bolt flip kit, we used one from Trail Gear on mine. I preferred their top plate design because that plate angles up a bit on the front and back edge to reduce stress on the top spring during high droop situations.

Well Marcs was custom for his hydro bump stops and 12'' shock. Pelfrey built makes the kit..it ain't cheap..haha

The trail gear one might work for your axle though too.

However, i can't remember, do your rear shocks mount to the bottom shock plate like our 1st gens? or do they have a separate mount?

Separate mounts right on the axles.

 

I was just thinking of flipping the u-bolts. Then either modifying my existing bump stops or getting some cheap ones from the local parts store.

Yea i think the TG one will fit. You have the same axle as me basically. Not sure on the width of the leafs.

Tons of bumps out there that are rubber. Timberens are the big dog ones. Then there are lots just like it. Wheelers makes some nice ones too.

 

Those Timberens are too expensive! I'll just probably modify the stock ones.

Make a stike plate on the new Ubolt area..or hell..might just fit in between the bolts..just drill a hole in the top bump area and bolt these on.
