Every year I spend two weeks down in the south west corner of the state hunting sage grouse with my falcons. This year a guy I know spent a couple of days with us and did some filming. He put together this video. I thought it turned out pretty good.

 

Badass, I saw a bunch of grouse around Lone Tree a couple weekends ago.

 

I had to clean the motor in my impact. It was acting like the trigger was being pulled just slightly. Living in a wet tool bag on the back of a snowmobile added some corrosion to it. Doubt that's your problem but they're not difficult to pull apart. I think Milwaukee has a 2 year warranty too.

well filmed. Bit of rambling going on..could be tighter. And tell him to put a HPF on the vocals, thumping my sub! haha

Well dad just scored big time. Just bought a Brannick compressor for 100 bucks haha it's an older model but still.

 

That'll come in real handy.

 

yeah gotta rebuild his shocks. And mine too so works out nice. Thing he still has a nitro kit too

Yeah, we'll soon be able to do that as well. Starting to accumulate the pieces to do that.

Yeah, it is. It's a 20 cf. The idea was to keep the kit easily portable. We'll see how long it lasts.

 

coulda gone a lil bigger and kept it portable haha I mean if you're bringing the coil compressor too to do field testing/rebuilding then...fuck the size haha

 

Wasn't so much thinking field rebuilds. But I suppose it could come to that. But I'd be very surprised to see Turbo show up at a field test with his brannick 'wall mount' spring compressor.

Naw, it's more like sharing it with the local crew and all.

Could do it yourself for cheaper if you shop around but i was lazy


The 20cu ft is plenty big enough for just shocks. If its at ~2000psi you'll get 20+ rebuilds out of it (if not a lot more). Not like shocks use much

 

This what I figured. I might see if I can find a harbor freight apache case for it too. We'll see.

Yeah, we are gonna put together our own kit. The Schmidty kit was one we considered tho. How do you like the regulator that came with that kit? It's a Uniweld RPH400 isn't it?

 

Yeah i started pricing out a build my own kit sort of deal and just decided to go with the Schmidty instead. Wasnt that much more once i added up a no-loss chuck, bleed off, fill gauge, isolator valve, hose, and regulator. I do have the Uniweld RHP400. I have no real comment on it other than it works. Didnt leak and fit the bottle just fine.


As for the Apache cases....i had the same thought with disappointment (for me). The 4800 is just a hair to small to fit everything assembled. Least for me the inside is 18" length wise and the tank from bottom to top of the valve is 18.25" but more importantly the bottom of tank to top of regulator is 19.25". And it wont fit angled either.


If you dont mind taking it all apart itll fit though

 

Taking it apart might not be the worst.

 

I thought he did really well considering what he had to work with...us.

I have no idea what that means, but I will tell him. All the narration came from the interviews he did for his podcast. He was worried about the audio because he recorded them in my bus and it was blowing 40mph outside. Blowing hard enough it was rocking the bus.

 

Wow, great deal! I finally gave up on getting one from CL, given that the prices I saw there were more than I could get a new one for. Gotta love Seattle.

Mike just left; we adjusted one of his coils by a few thousandths. And the Brannick was portable - I moved it outside to a telephone pole, LOL. Not bringing it on a trip though, hahahaha.
