What the easiest way to get it in a trailer

 

West entrance is basically Montana. Might check the Montana BS thread for that. I haven't spent much time on that side.

And well, get a jack and then something to put under the LCA.

We used one of these tire dollys for cars:

But a block of wood will also work.

Have also used a shovel to drag it along the ground.

I know this pics isn't from our Lolo trip, but still brings back fond memories. Put new meaning to "camping on the trail".

 

Did bolts break or ball pull out of socket? If it just pulled out get a jack and put it back in with some ratchet straps around the control arms.

Although the land did appraise higher than I paid so that's good I guess.

 

Yeah it's exciting. 10.6 acres in a beautiful location. We are excited by the possibilities.

Yeah it'll be well worth it. Feel like I'll be living in the mountains but not quite. But plenty of views of mountains!

 

yeah should be cool. Plenty of space for the horse, house, and hopefully the biggest damn shop I can afford

And yeah. land is getting crazy. I won't lie, this spot wasn't cheap. But i'll hold value and build value a lot. Community water(water is hard to get up here) and natural gas(no propane tanks for me) plus great great views. So should be worth it.

It's a cool spot. hopefully we can all meet and start an adventure from there someday. Campfire pit will be a must.

 

Well it took long enough but finally got the MR2 reliably driving. Still need to fix some things to get it 100% but least it drives and is getting the mpg its supposed to now. First trip out only managed to get <10mpg which is terrible. Last trip out go >30mpg so much better!




And some people should just not be allowed to work on cars. Not blaming the guy i bought this from as he claimed to have only driven it a short time before the motor was pulled (and then sat for 5+ years). But who ever did some of the work on the suspension just didnt care. Cross threaded bolts/nuts and pretty sure just grabbed whatever castle nut they could find (ie the wrong one) for the rear tie rods. Normally not to big of an issue except it seemed like every part they messed up is no longer available with no direct after market replacement. Thankfully theres some good companies making aftermarket parts to use common parts instead of odd ball ones. Now fingers crossed that the used hub/knuckles I purchased arrive in good shape.
