I wish there was any support for them stateside. But if you can get one, getting anything for them is a nighmare.

I'm hoping the 454 is in decent condition. It's coming out of a wreck and they didn't say whether or not they have a transmission which is kind of important because I need a turbo 400 with a Chevy pattern because the one I have currently has a Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac pattern. I want to do a manual valve body automatic

 

There's a decent amount of support for them these days. Nothing local but a few companies online. Although guess it depends what you want as that's mostly aftermarket stuff so if just wanting oem stock then yeah it sucks.

A 454 will be plenty of fun and a lot easier than a Barra anyways

I don't think a new long block M154 can be had anymore. They're handbuilt and that engine line is long dead. I know most parts are still around though, it could be run on Haltech or MegaSquirt, it'd just be entirely custom wiring. But hell it's only 22k for a brand spankin new S55 and I'd rather have 600+HP twin turbo straight six. That would be way harder to run on a standalone though due to the variable valve lift system that's used in place of a throttle body.

I'm thinking the 454 is gonna be good, it's a really easy off the shelf recipe for 550hp with parts that aren't expensive at all, and after that boost can be thing if need be.

 

Had a good weekend. Was nice a cool up at 9500'. Going to be a scorcher this week..

It's supposed to be 114° tomorrow here. Unprecedented. Was 107 here today.

Supposed to high 90s here. Not quite 100 but won't surprise me if I see that happen really. 2 weeks of that shit. Sheesh.

I had a moment yesterday where I thought the sun was gonna take me. I was hauling hay to feed horses around a friends property since they went on vacation. Finished that in the heat and was super tired and worn out. But remembered I should top off all the water basins for them and almost keeled over into one. I'd been chugging water like I was back in AZ too but I guess it wasn't enough. Too hot here, 105* with no shade is rough. Gonna be 110* on Wednesday

 

Just window units here. They help but not that much for the whole house. Bed room cools off though thankfully.

Cools off at night though so house stays cool till around 1 or so.

I'm almost ready for fall already haha

 

Been a hot minute, but broke out the old pig this past weekend.

Man the last big heat busrt we had a few weeks ago I was working outside and the wind was blowing. Felt like a freaking hair dryer.

I already am worried what fires will spark from this too.
