    I’d be curious on the weight difference between the manual and auto. Certainly the low stall torque converter is not great for the power transfer.
    Some of us are dealing with our weight issue by throwing money at it, thank you very much.

    I certainly have no complaints really with the 4.10/33 combo. Don't haul ass by any means in some ways obviously but perfectly good on the highway and trails. 4.56s certainly wouldn't hurt.

    as much as it sucks, which it does, the only really time i want to rip it out is in 4lo cause you can't go faster than 20mph really. Super annoying. But otherwise, it's....fine haha I love the manual though, glad i get to drive one everyday still.

    I don't think I will. Having them delivered right to the shop. Devin is gone and I'm not home so didn't want tires just sitting in the front yard haha

    So far they seem to be a softer ride at 20psi on dirt than the st maxxs were at around 15psi. Haven't really put them in anything super technical yet but they seemed to do well in the little bit of mud I've experienced in the past week. I'm happy with them so far. I did start developing a growl/hum that I think is a wheel bearing and not the tires. Thermal gun doesn't indicate anything alarming at the bearings so I'm kind of at a loss to what it is.

    And I have no doubt in my mind that that caused our tempts to go up a lot that day. Im going to keep an eye on it in general now just to see. That said, it took a long time to cool off really. Mine cooled faster than Bretts did by a bit. I was under 200 well before he was, smaller engine though. Im sure some gears would help that.

    Thats cool to hear. The maxxes rode stiff as hell that's for sure. I really wanted a C load but the only AT option I could find in a 33ish was the Toyo and my god were they expensive.

    If you zoom in you can see Shoshone lake trail on the face there to the left of red Butte. Started yesterday but just blew up in the last hour due to the wind

    I would say that the leaf pack was shifting back/forth, which sheared the head off the other one and bent the hell out of that one. The clamping force of the U bolts should prevent any movement, so likely the U bolts were under-torqued.
    Didn’t you say they were smaller diameter too? There may have been some flex/play in the U bolts that allowed the leaf packs to move around a little.
    1/2” or 9/16” U bolts that stay torqued to 100 ft-lbs should prevent any movement.

    I had 1/2" ones on there. But they obviously weren't up to the task and/or not torqued right. I did torque them but they do stretch. I remember checking them on the trail in co laster fall and they were loose.

    But good point. The movent I'm sure didn't help. I've got 9/16 ones on there now.

    Needless to say I'm pretty interested to see where my steering wheel points now. When the sheared one was broken it was pointing to the passenger side. Then I fixed it and then my steering wheel was pointed very hard to the driver side. This caused me to look at the Wheels in the wheel well and you could obviously tell that the driver side one was not the same.

    So did further inspections and kind of noticed it wasn't quite straight so I decided to take it out and lo and behold it is bent to shit.

    So be cool if my alignment was still straight which means my cam tab gussets and the lower control arms are holding well. Will find out I guess.
