surely you want 4.88s or hopefully 5.29s for your 35s though?

I'm not overly concerned, I want the lockers and some gears in the meantime. They're not exactly a hard item to pass on afterward

Why do you want them? You'd have to do a full axle swap. Won't fit your rear diff.

I've been thinking about it a lot. I just don't have the cash yet to make a solid offer.

and ARB - you could get rid of that pesky e-locker at the same time.

no worries man, you've got higher priorities right now. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it, if somebody needs/wants it, it'll be here.

Dan while you're around this evening, where did you locate your rear hangers for the 63s. I guessed and I'm close I think but not sure.

Mine are right below the rear bumper bolt hole.

Also does this look about right for the forward hanger?

What kind of friend would I be if I didn't impart sound financial advice to make your dreams come true. I didn't get to where I am from hard work, no no no. The secret is scratch offs my friend, and Marlboro points.

I can pull some measurements for you tomorrow, that all looks correct though. With some weight on the springs I’m at 45 degree shackle angle, yours looks like it’ll be right around that.
I’m interested to see how the johnny joints do during medium and high speed maneuvering (or are they orbit eyes?)

Shoot, by the time you cash your lungs out on the pall malls, technology will be so advanced you will get like a super lung for a transplant, so really your winning at getting truck parts aaaand being able to live longer to enjoy those truck parts. Just think of the time you've wasted "mixing" music for money. It's 2021 baby, get out there and smoke!

OK, I'm pretty sure I'm going with the semi-float. Essentially just a housing replacement, vs. going full float (which means disc brakes, etc.). My thinking is:
    • FF - I like the resiliency of full-float and especially the "resilience" on the trail - i.e. if an axle breaks, the vehicle is (theoretically) still drivable by just pulling the axle, etc.
    • SF - On the flip side, I like the "standardness" of the semi-float - in that it's still mostly Taco parts that I can easily replace if something goes wrong. With the exception of the housing, which I assume will not break (that's the whole point of getting a Diamond, obviously).
Assuming price isn't an issue, and that I continue to focus on exploration rather than rock crawling some 37s, anyone want to suggest that I'm doing the wrong thing?

Wait times for each are similar and in the 6-8w range.

Seems reasonable to me. What diameter axle tube you going with?

3.5", thought I didn't know I had an option - it was just what Brian (FROR owner?) said he used. Communication is a bit slow/difficult with him. No phone calls, emails only, not much explanation. I don't really mind all that much as long as I get something that works and is quality; but it's definitely a bit different than I'm used to. Probably great if you know exactly what you want and just place an order.
