    really? i didn't know there was a torque difference. I'd assume the dimple is higher then? I wanted the ring I just wasn't paying attention enough when I bought it. My 3/8 M12 stubby is friction ring and is great.

    I use those two and my 1/4'' m12 alllll the time.

    yeah this alone makes me wish I had a 5spd to take it's place..such a pain. Biggest issue was dirt behind the pressure tabs for some of the switches. But we got them all off. and the Flex plate bolts.

    Friend of Dads brought a super nice transmission jack to let us use. But didn't get it pulled today. Im back home. Will have to wait But everything is pretty much ready to come apart.


    was so nice to work in a real garage again. Really made me realize that I'd work on shit more with that kind of space. Was fun to measure out the garage knowing mine will be just as long(the truck bay area) or just a touch longer and way wider. Gonna be rad to have such a big garage on the house.

    Do you have a new rear main seal to go in?

    I replaced my flex plate and used new mounting bolts for the TC and the engine crank. I still have the old ones if you run into an issue with yours.

    Yeah thought about doing that stuff. Will order it all this week hopefully.

    The ratchet looks like it's be helpful sometimes. But the 3/8 stubby and 1/4" get used so much and the ratchet doesn't have the torque and would be helpful in hard to reach places.

    I want to get the M12 ratchet. But I'd recommend the stubby first honestly. It's great

    The ratchet is nice to have. But my go to is still the M12 3/8 stubby. My ratchet really only comes out when the stubby won't fit. Nice to have for sure but I still tell people to get the stubby first.

    The stubby and the mid torque m18 (even the high torque if you don't run full bore all the time) make quick work of just about everything on our vehicles.

    Bought the only thing that's a struggle we're the lug nuts on our Isuzu nor box truck. The high torque did it but was NOT happy about it.

    Have a rear main seal on hand. I guarantee that yours will, at the very least, be seeping. Replace it regardless.

    I think the ratchet is my favorite tool. Was extremely handy when doing a motor swap. Lots of tight spaces and when you tighten you can get a good feel on how tight it actually is instead of relying on ugga duggas

    For the ratchets there are non fuel and fuel versions. The fuel version has a bigger head so a lot of people seem to recommend the non fuel version

    Just happened to be passing the store and saw the ratchets. Gives you a decent idea on the differences in head size. (obviously pictures are always a bit skewed since the fuel one is "closer")



    And luckily yesterday was a great day to be up on the garage roof. Luckily only 1 sheet of plywood had delamination from being wet with the rain and snow. Got all the underlayment laid out just in time for the wind/rain today.
