Probably be okay. Won't suck. 5.29s though with 35s will feel more like what you have now.

    Either way is do able.

With the 5 the gear swap I'll bring going 70 below 3k rpms

So new clutch doesn't seem any better. Still slips going up hills or when floored. It's better but not as good as I figured it would be.

I do think the pressure plate is lighter which I didn't expect. But still it's a full asin kit.

Vibes are pretty bad with clutch in too. Hopefully I didn't fuck something up.

    Did you replace the flywheel?

Yes. Dan(different Dan) thinks it could be an out of balance fly wheel.

Should have coughed up for OEM I guess.

But I still don't get how it slips.

Find a machinist in the area and just resurface your old one.

Side note, you guys have any ideas about vibration at low speeds and turning sometimes? It's the 2nd generation and I replaced the carrier bearing this summer. I'm wondering since the rear leafs are shot (negative arch) with just a topper on it if that is causing a bad pinion angle

Yeah I have the old one. Was thanksgiving so didn't really have that as an option this go around.

Though at this rate I might be pulling it again. Plus up the pressure plate a lot. This one has no feel.

Also check your front wheel bearings. They go out more often than 1st gens. But also 100x easier to swap in and out so easy fix.

Had that issue when I first got it, I know what that feels like. This is more of it shakes the whole truck feeling. If I let off the gas just for a second and then get back into it, it goes away

The fact that it's still slipping
At $50 for a new flywheel, there's little incentive to pull the OEM one, drive across town, wait, or pick it up a day later. The cost isn't worth it.

    What fact?

    I don't know why it's still slipping.

It's not OEM new OEM I think is well over 100.

    Hmm only when turning?

No, going straight as well. Turning can cause it but for sure under acceleration brings it about. I'm baffled by it. It's not a tire balance issue. Only thing other than suspension/pinion would be a Trans issue that I can think of since it's under acceleration and when I let off it goes away until whatever triggers it happens again

could be engine misfire too. My 1st gen did that and new coil packs solved it. I thought it was the tranny slipping.

Have you check the LCA bushings/mounts? The LCAs are known for going out but that would cause more steering issues than anything.

Also, just gotta ask, but have you checked the lug nuts? That's caused me a wild goose chase on Devin's car once haha

I was thinking lug nuts but I changed the brakes not long ago and it did it before and after that. I torqued all of them down. If it hadn't been doing it before that would of been my first guess.

Can you feel axle wrap? Or is that just at extreme angles wheeling?

Ah, I would say this feels like you hit rumble strips or light washboards when it happens
