Too many uses in my book to ditch the hi-lift. Come along, jack, clamp, truck leveler.

Surprised more people don't do this.

me too. But also not really.

    A) Most people bury they hi lift so its not easy to get to
    B) most people don't keep theirs clean so its a PITA to use.

I'll admit I read a post from you saying you did it and was like "Genius!" and have done it a few times now. bit easier with the access cab for sure as the double cab it blocks a door if you use the slider.

A splash of wd40 fixes this.

That thang got every option from every vehicle manufacturer ever made, impressive. Must of been their first day at the scam center. "Alright listen up, today we are selling Toyota's. Larry, since you are new here you are going to be in charge of finding and listing out options, remember you are trying to make it look good. So you know, just list things people want in vehicles"

True, mine is easily accessible. That's all the more reason to do it to make sure it works when you need it. I typically use one of the corners on the bumper but that's easy with the tube bumpers.

Well ordered another clutch cause fawk it. Tear it down next week and see whats wrong. But be happy to have a beefier pressure plate again. 900lbs is...so weak haha

Going to get the original fly wheel resurfaced and swap it back in too.

Give the new clutch I just put in it to my dad for my moms truck.

Good luck Monte. Take your time in case there's something stupid simple that you missed last time. If I can do it, you should be able to with your eyes closed.

Lol yeah hopefully. I just didn't like the clutch feel anyways. Ha oh well. Hopefully get it right this time whatever thing I screwed up. Hoping it's just bad luck with the fly wheel I got.

Might even buy a new set of rubber mounts just to eliminate the poly ones as a factor. But I just can't imagine that's what I'm feeling based on running the same setup on frank for years.

Well I can say the kenda's do great in the snow. Not so much on ice, my studded snow tires far out perform them there. But they are great in just deep or packed snow.

I would rather take my VW if the snow is bad than my Tacoma lol fuck ice. I'm hoping tomorrow is clear so I can drive my Tacoma to work, be the first time in many weeks driving the poor thing. Need to get a charger for it.

If I could I'd have a small commuter, but when the snow gets real bad the roads don't get plowed reliably were I work so the extra ground clearance of the tacoma is great.

That and on my DD taco I run studded snow tires anyways so it handles like a boss in the snow and ice. Love it.

You are one of the ones that erodes the roads  :p

I wanted to keep my 4runner as a DD but no way it's cheaper than my VW. Boise just doesn't get enough snow to warrant 4wd. I also made it clear to my employer that in bad weather I'm WFH. They said "what about that offroad truck you take to the end of the earth?" LOL. None of you're goddamn business

I can work from home too I guess if i wanted. But I like working in the studio and getting out on the land is awesome. It's so isolated a beautiful there. The drive is beautiful too.

But hey, I don't care, the roads are in good shape anyways haha Plus usually from here on they are coated pretty good in snow, well some years. See how this one goes. THey just cleared up and its now snowing again. Be good to have consistent snow this year. I wouldn't even complain.

Otherwise I'd have probably take Devins Honda Insight over to go to work. Honestly with snow tires it does great, just not when it gets deep.

It may be but eastern Oregon feels much much more end of the earth than anything in Utah I've done.

4Runner is sold. Getting shipped back to Ohio soon. Selling it via auction is much more enjoyable than the traditional methods.

Yeah I had a good feel for the market and and the results were spot on. I figured $5-8k for it. Hammer dropped at $7k.
