Happy holidays friends! A bit late but the dandruff is falling here, and since the green truck won't start, I had fun in the other car.

 

Winter is definitely here too.

 

I felt like i was a native seatletonian. I almost got stuck on flat ground

 

It was winter here as well and LC decided 4WD was off the menu, AWD only :/

 

Pff like that's a problem haha


No snow in wyo. But I know there is a lot back home in mt.

Started my clutch again tonight.

 

It gets around well in AWD, I just don't like ABS being on and 4WD cuts it off.

 

What's wrong with it? Battery?

 

Oh that's a cool feature.

Well make a switch to disable in AWD too. Should be easy.

I still regret ripping mine out. Should have made a kill switch instead

 

Battery and connections. Real finicky since I got back from Chicago. I got a new 02 sensor for it this week but until the 4Runner ships out it'll just sit outside waiting. Bad time of year for mailing checks, titles and trucks!!

Among several things it's needing love. Needs a compressor, a winch, new door lock/handle, a battery and a damn good cleaning. Being that I don't know when I'll get to it. But I did buy a new blanket for the tent today! Pendleton blanket for $26 at Costco.

 

Anyone have a WY cougar tag, live around Lone Tree, and is bored?

Well my disk was indeed "backwards" per fsm. As noted by others often the clutch is mislabeled and mine was.

I do wonder as it's the same disk used in the 3rz but it is opposite orientation than the 5vz. Curious as to why it even matters. Near as I can tell it does affect how it gets clamped?


Either I'm fucked. Dad took my fly wheel to the machine shop a while ago. Was ready last Monday but forgot to get it. Shop doesn't open again until the 3rd. Ha so be a few weeks. Figure I'll get new OEM motor and tranny mounts too.

 

Once again, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Big Dan for his help with my rear diff. The truck is repaired and back on the road.

Anybody have any recommendations for 1st gen outer door handle replacement. See alot of cheap stuff on ebay but trying to find an actual Toyota quality one.
