It's less Tacoma and more mod
I dunno if anyone here has seen this but I'm starting to see them pop up all over. LED street lamps with failing filter coating, it causes them to shift from white to purple. They look really nice actually, I think purple is a good night time ambiance color. This bus lot has them all over the gradient of failure, this one I photographed has failed entirely to deep purple.

Our knife holds a special status in our kitchen. Super sharp and beautiful, worth every penny! The biggest downside is sometimes I know Kirsten is afraid to use because it's almost too nice. It art.

I haven't seen that but makes sense that they used cheap LEDs. It's why in a past career industrial LEDs followed a different LED temperature scale than consumers did like our trucks. I agree the purple is, soothing.

In other news, green truck woke up after a zap from a jump pack. It's been a long time since I drove it. At 22* IAT the thing pulled much harder than I remember. If you are on Instagram you would know the truck couldn't leave the driveway a few days ago because of a lack of grip

@Speedytech7 there are a few of those in the city I'm in. Didn't know that's what it was!

For those that care I did awake green truck and drove it 40 miles today. It's got some electrical gremlins, but damnit if single digit air temps aren't a powerhouse for the Magnuson!

That's why mater/meth injection is great for those things.

I don't think you're gonna get those IAT below freezing with meth, plus then you have the complication of always keeping it topped off, no thank you.

In other news the 4Runner is now on it's way east :woot:

At the end of the day, it took a while but was actually a fun way to sell a car. Certainly will go this route with other cars down the road.

    of course not.

But whens its 100º out it'll help it be 70º or something. Which makes a big difference when your supercharger is going to always make the temp hotter than the IAT sense due to the nature in how it works(friction and compression). Water/meth is great for lowering the temps, keeping the rotors cooler, and fighting detonation.

Ah well that helps a lot. Basically doing the same thing nearly as meth/water. not as efficient in terms of cooling but still helps a lot.

Same thing. I had belt slipping and belt splitting issues so I replaced the pulleys and belts to fix it. Still have to drive around the "problem" areas but still love it booster.

Yeah I'm sure the same thing happened to me. There was a wierd groove that I suspect was tearing the belt in a rib. It didn't slip too bad but was dealt with.

Man I am super impressed with these Kendas. Been DD Igor as the lil truck is in Powell still. Snowed a few times now including today. Drives awesome. I don't think I've ever used an AT tire that handles snow so well. They are as good as my snow tires. If I studded them they'd be unstoppable in the snow and ice.

Really like these tires so far. Im sure their life span will be short though. And they throw rocks like crazy due to the larger lug spacing.

So I think I have an exhaust leak from when I removed the Cat/down pipe when I dropped the tranny. There is a very low hum when I am driving with the gas down that goes away when I do not have the gas down. That said, it does not change in pitch with RPMs. It stays the same no matter what RPM I'm at above bout 2000rpms.

Still though, would that effect my gas mileage? I still feel like my truck took a nose dive on mpg since doing all that work. Way too much to just be bigger tires which are bigger but not massively bigger. Talking a loss of 4-7mpg avg.

No engine codes, no pending codes.

I'll start with all questions and no answers :)

Over how many tanks of gas are you seeing the MPG hit? What were you at before for a full tank, and what are you at now?

Any time I see an MPG hit, I first look at fuel trims. Where are you at with those?

Next thing is weather - are you driving through snow (or on ice / inclement weather) all the time now and weren't before? Seems like that'd have a pretty large effect. Though, I recall you saying that you guys didn't get snow in MT when we all got it around Christmas... but just the other day you said they were great in the snow...
