This has potential if the frame is rust free. They obviously don't know what they have. Price is low and it does not have a 3.2L.

Might be something undisclosed. I sure wish sellers did a better job of presentation. Very marginal photos.

Asked about a few things I found recently and I can't tell if it's because I'm in a different area than where it's listed or what, but the communication I get is abysmal at best. Ask for more info and photos and get crickets.

I find if people post half ass photos then they don't care much about selling it in the first place. Or getting a lot for it.

Must be the case then, the ones I asked about had little info with 2 photos. One was 2 photos in the dark and when asked if I could see daytime photos all I got was "I work until 5:30 so it's dark" Do you get a lunch break there champ?or have friends that could help?, what the hell.

    Or weekends?

Lazy people man. And they wonder why stuff doesn't sell quickly.

Plus they are banking on someone who just WANTS whatever it is they are selling and assumes they will just buy it sight unseen.

Clutch is back in. I said fuck and used the shallow OEM fly wheel.

Seems my bad vibe is gone. The expected amount is there with the poly mounts now much more manageable.

My pedal feels like ass though. Super soft still. Even though input in a 2100lb pressure plate. I bled the crap out of the system (like a whole bottle) but obviously still air in the system.

I appreciate these types of people because they are what I look for as I look for another flip. Usually the price is lower and the legwork isn't that dramatic.

Sorry to hear that, that's frustrating. Why not replace the flywheel?

It's what I look for as well. Hard to buy when they don't answer though. 2-3 messages with no response, can be frustrating when you are after a specific thing and for some reason they all are cold on communication

I've found success with trying to meet up as soon as possible. To them they may get the sell they are wanting. Asking for pictures or other items without meeting in person is usually seen as a "waste of time" to sellers. Not saying it's right but that's my experience.

I'm a big fan of the no reserve auction I just did as I know my vehicle is selling on X day no matter what. Sure you might say there's a risk of not getting top dollar but you'll get market value.

I know, unfortunately for me in Wy finding a vehicle usually means a 6hr one way drive, which can be a waste of time/fuel just to find out its has major issues.

That's true. That truck would for sure be a gamble without seeing the frame. But if it's clean could get 10-14k for it.

I did. Remember I put a new luk flywheel in it and wasn't sure if it was balanced. So I got the OEM one resurfaced.

My bad vibe is gone. But it's still slipping under load for some damn reason. Going to work on getting it bled right and see what happens. Otherwise this is the 3rd clutch setup in this truck and all have slipped.

You've changed multiple things each time so it's anyone's guess what is going on. The clutch pack was backwards aaaand you changed flywheels so who knows. My clutch has never been bled but the new luk flywheel and Austin clutch work great.

There was a 4x4 db with 70k miles for $15 last month. Couldn't get the loan fast enough for that one ...

Eh 15 though. Be hard to make much more past that imo. That's more of a gamble.

I redid the hydraulics is why. I never had issues either until then. But my master cylinder was leaking badly. So rebuilt it and the slave. That's the soft pedal issue.

The disc or flywheel was the bad vibes. Which was solved, by which one? Don't know.

But either way. It's had three totally different clutch setups. And they have all slipped regardless of the setup. Which is odd no matter what.

A truck with 200k will get 10k. I bet a 70k mile truck would get close to $20k ok the auctions if documented well. It's always a gamble but that's part of the thrill.

I wouldn't bet on that haha but who knows. Besides. If you got a 1st gen double cab, you'd end up keeping it I'd bet

Also anyone remember what RPMs you were at with a manual and V6 to get to true 70mph? I fixed my speedo cable and checked it this drive home. I knew it'd be off but wow it's really off.

I had to do almost 3000rpms to hit actual 70. Speedo read 78-79ish

I don't remember that being normal?

Running 265/70r16s right now. So 31s.

Looking at the grimmjeeper calculator, it might be i somehow have 4.30s...which would be wild.

I wouldn't be worried at all. The fact the listing lasted all of 3 hours tells me I'm not completely wrong. I bet it could flip for a couple Gran profit without much drama.

I would not own a Toyota with the A340 for any reason other to sell. It's the biggest handicap the 3.4l has to contend with. I want a double cab, but not a Tacoma. I would go fullsize at that point.

well don't drive it too much when you get one to flip. Or the green truck could end up on the auction block instead :D

Agreed, the A340 is strong but it's a bowl of mashed potatoes in terms of putting the power anywhere. Just empty calories that form a turd.
