Wife and dogs. Kinda an impulse. Ok totally impulse decision at lunch today.

 

I regret that I never went while I lived in Vegas. However, I’m sure I’ll be living there again one day and I’ll make sure to add it to the list of things to do then.

You’ve already been once, right? I’m sure it’s a unique experience all by itself.

 

Yeah we went in 2020. We were making jokes about this "corona virus" as we drank coronas on that trip. Boy did those jokes not age well.

It's a ton of fun, tons of cool trucks, loud trucks, cool builds, carnage and just shenanigans when the sun goes down.

Sounds like a blast to see the wheeling. The night time shenanigans get wild I’m sure. Would be good to do a trip with some more mild-mannered party-ers… Haha

We moved to New Mexico back in the Summer of 2020. @turbodb was literally 30 minutes away from me during his New Mexico BDR trip…

Nice to get out of the city, but Vegas sure was an awesome hub for getting to some cool trip spots.

Too much mobbing

 

All mob, no armor. The plastic mount on my dash cam survived it all.

 

man i must have the strongest one of those things. Mine stayed on my windshield for 4 years straight and no issues. Only came off because i got a new windshield. I've read others have had issues too. Maybe the newer ones aren't as good.

 

There's a large spring inside that is constantly compressed, it provides the friction on the swivel ball. The plastic housing takes the load so it's constantly trying to be stretched apart from the inside. Mines probably 4 years old too but for the price, that's too short of life span. I have it sitting in my press with a bunch of adhesive globbed on it to hopefully get some more life out of it.

 

We just put some Bullet Point Mounting Solutions in our work trucks. They seem pretty solid and the high stress points a metal. Might be something to look into. I'm not sure if they have a universal mount or not.

 

Those look very model specific. Look like decent designs though, wish there was a universal style mount. I think my next option would be one of those RAM mounts.

Took the truck out yesterday trying to find a hot spring. Failed. But did manage 15.6mpg round trip.

 

Can anyone beat it?!
