    I need new rear shocks and front upper control arms. Original rears were too long and sold the uppers with the extended cab last summer. It's been prob 8yrs since I bought the camburg uppers and fox rear shocks. Are there better options today for uppers or are they pretty much the same whatever I choose? I was thinking ADS for the rear shocks unless there are comparable for less money or better for the same cost.

    I think for less maintainance and just as good of performance the SPC Light racing Uppers are nice. They are adjustable too to dial in caster/camber. But its a sealed Ball joint that is pretty easy to swap out so they last longer.

    Rear shocks, I don't think you can beat ADS for top of line choice if you're wanting top of the line shocks.

    I seen a pick searching for ucas of the spc ones. Was curious if they were good, I like the idea of going back to a sealed setup over the camburg.

    Learned today my truck can only do 250 miles, but not a mile more :anonymous: also with the new O2 sensor, it's apparent that my lean issues were not true but false readings from the Bosch. Knocked out about 500 miles with 350 to go!

    The O2 sensor he is referring to is the one connected to his wideband gauge.

    I personally don't see a reason to go with anything other than SPC. They are plenty strong, have more than ample articulation, sealed joint, and make doing alignments super easy.


    Are you doing a relocate or just using the factory location for shocks?

    slap some 5100s/5160s on it and call it day. Get some ADS when you get around to relocate them.

    If you are going to use the OEM mounts, 10" shocks will be to long.

    Even with 2.5-3" of lift, mine could only handle a shock that was ~22" extended, 13.5" compressed.

    I've had 10'' 5150s on Frank for years. They are too long unless you have a lot of lift then its not too much of a concern. yeah you'll bottom em out at some point and ruin them. But if they are 5125s, who cares. They will last a couple years still. Especailly if he isn't you know, beating the crap out of it.

    No Monte, that makes no sense if he is buying a new set. 10" travel 5125s are too long. Yes they will mount, but you'll end up very little up travel. An 8-8.5" travel version would be way better.

    I realize you said 5150s which are considered short bodies, but it looks like the same story with those.
