Electrical is mostly from 2018, that was when it was remodeled entirely. The plumbing, who knows.

yeah....gonna be rough. Will have a whole studio to build after the house is built. But will have a massive heated(maybe ACed too) garage for the first time in 7 years..so...yeah. Priorities will be at odds ha

yeah but it'll be another reason to buy more tools..so...

Also yeah, on the plus side my Dad is giving me some of the larger woodworking tools, the downside is I can't weld wood back together

 

I'll check it out, but can already tell its a NO from Devin haha she is very agains a shouse setup. She cares a lot about having a nice looking house and classic look.

That's super traditional looking, sounds like you'll have the space on the property. I like a house to be presentable, and the shouse certainly is presentable enough haha. But it's insane to build anything, despite inflated housing costs, building is even more ridiculous now.

 

Yeah we have plenty of space. Hopefully do a large shop latter but if costs just go up from here that seems like a pipe dream..But yeah traditional but nice. You don't see a lot of homes like that out here so it'll stand out for sure in a good timeless way.

But agreed, building is nuts. We just don't have another option at this point. It crazy to me though to think we will spend a shit load of money and it'll be worth a metric shit load more once done. Which is wild. What a terrible time try and be a home owner.

Really wish I'd sucked it up and grabbed one of the properties when we first started looking for 315k. Seems cheap now..

Hey with a few of us there would actually be enough buying power haha. That guy has a hell of a piece of property too.

 

I think the preferred method would be to buy one already built. Haha.

 

Do you think that one is a maybe a spec shouse?

 

His early videos show him assembling a lot of it and explaining why he chose certain things. I think he bought plans and modified them

 

I guess what I meant by spec was, did he build it as a speculative investment, to sell once it is finished or at some point thereafter.

 

Oh, yeah I don't know. He's living in it and plans to stay, a lot of what he did was tailored to him specifically.
