    16 thats adorable haha

Our roads are basically solid ice right now with snow. Still able to do 60mph with the studded tires and 4wd in the little truck no issues. Monday was fun with up to a foot of snow or more in places on the county road to work. Love powder blasting haha

yeah kind of wonder if that was the issue. Almost made me think about a block heater...but then I remember never again..haha

Seemed pretty freakin cold to me! Ready for spring. Was 60* last Saturday.

Summer performance tires on ice are miles worse than mud tires. Yikes.

Mines seen below 30 a few times and never had an issue with coolant or fuel freezing. Batteries are a different story though.

Hey just a thought with your coolant, you likely had ice build up that blocked the flow of coolant, you may want to up your mixture ASAP for this cold snap before you crack the block.

I changed my mind, you can keep Wyoming all to yourself. -24 sounds miserable.

You all are nicer though than the SoCal forum, so maybe I’ll just stick around in spirit and visit in the summer :D

Ironically, most of the folks in this thread are not residents of Wyoming.

My battery was fine ironically. Nothing special about it either. Cranked over multiple times for 15 seconds or more.

Clearly my coolant just isn't right.
Im certain that is what happened. Hoping nothing bad happened(head gasket :fingerscrossed:) but will find out. Worst of the cold is done, think it supposed to be above 0 tomorrow and well above it after that.

But will be checking the block out on Saturday. Not going to do anything about it right now as it's too cold and stores will be closed when I get home since I got a late start. But in the morning I can maybe put in some pur antifreeze. I've just been using the 50/50 mix stuff from the store.

haha Im actually in southern MT just north of the wyo border by an hour. Less as the crow flys. But talking to my dad, it wasn't much warmer there either at -15 or less. So yeah its cold!

Fine by us :D Less is more after all when it comes to population. Housing market sucks enough as it is! :p

A few days of crazy cold temps sure beats the 3 months of hotter than hell summer out here. Plus your summers are amazing.

Nothing like stepping outside when it’s 120 degrees out. Should try to fry an egg on the sidewalk over the summer lol

Desert heat is strange. Different people have their own preferences, but once you hit 110+ with over 12% or so humidity, it is death.

I will take the heat you have in MT/WY over the desert any day.

im just too busy doing wyoming things

a few weekends ago went out sledding and the temp was -14 pulling into the parking lot. thought i was gonna die for the first 30 min will we got moving a bit more and it warmed up some. It was sunny though so that made it seem less miserable.

dude, off topic, speaking of wyoming tho...we just had an earthquake. id never felt one before...

my first thought was "wtf are the kids doing upstairs this time"
then it was "fuck did snow slide off the roof again and destroy the deck"
then "oh finally the caldera is going to blow, hello sweet rapture!!!"

one of the tenants up stairs thought somone ran into the hosue with a car lol

my gf thought she was being attacked by a ghost. All very different thought processes for the same natural phenomenon

edit: apparently it was a 2.7

Then add the wind chill of riding and that - 14 feels pretty warm. Few weeks ago it was - 24 where we parked and the first few miles until we gained some elevation were brutal.

……… chuckles in 6+ magnitude earthquakes.

2.7 is nothing. But yeah, the first one that you feel is weird. Especially in locations where they are not expected/planned for.

Oh they are expected there. Pretty hot spot for activity with yellowstone park nearby. Nothing of magnitude yet, but they theorize it will be a big one if/when it does
