Curious how this works as crutchfield lists it as 9inch

Edit: I see I'm a letter off on the pt#, oops
The fm transmitter is fine, I used them many times in past vehicles. The problem is, it's only as good as your cell signal. XM is something we really enjoy having when on road and in the sticks and while it's not perfect, it's a necessity for the adventure truck.

Got the Honda running! Finally. Burped the coolant today. Finish plastic welding the bumper tomorrow since the shit HF welder tip came off after like an hour of use. The just gotta do the oil and tranny fluid and we can have 40mpg back in our lives haha

    Then get the ac recharged.

Yessir W4660. Do you use Spotify? If so you can download your music to be able to listen to offline. That’s how I maintain listening while out of service. Doesn’t use too much of the phones memory either.

    Same.

    Apple music does it too.

    And Amazon

    And tidal.

Idk why you'd want to pay for xm to listen to music and have ads still. :puke:

It's amazing what I'll do to not have ads in my life haha

I don't. And I prefer the random mix of things than having to memorize and catalog music.
    XM has no adds.

Fair. Usually ads for events or shows in the channel, but that seems warranted.

I would hate having to find and manage that. Hence why I like streaming music.

whats there to manage? Most these apps feed you stuff. I hear something I like, I like it(personally usually the whole album as it ads more stuff and i like discovering new stuff that way). Then when on a trip. I hit shuffle and it just plays whatever it wants. Just like a DJ basically haha

You two are like total opposites when it comes to how you like to listen to music. There's not even enough common ground to have in interesting conversation, let alone to argue over it.

What's music? Car Talk is where it's at.

    - - -

Ben - I had a Pioneer (Pioneer AVH-3500BHS) back a few years ago; precursor to the NEX line. Was a good stereo, and clearly the NEX is better. The thing I didn't like about it (which I have no idea whether is still the case) was that it had this disco-nightclub background that was always animating and flashing and generally just distracting (and to me, annoying). More recently, I got the Kenwood DMX906S. My guess is that the Kenwood and Pioneer now are pretty similar, but I like that the Kenwood just has a black background, not trying to be all "flashy." I also like the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, which connect quickly, work amazingly well, etc.

The only thing I miss (which was a problem with the Pioneer as well) is a volume *knob*.

Pics of both of them (plus an Android HU I had between) here, if you're interested: A Stereo that Just Works.

You gotta find the music, like the music, save the music, gah, so much work. Just turn to the rock station and go.
Ain't that the truth. We will still try the argument route though.
That's good to know. Knob is important! Thanks!
