How do I acquire a set of those Tundra hard lines? I admittedly didn't look at all...

Banjo bolts aren't cooperating for some reason after years of working fine.

Got a set here with your name on them, ready to go. As I recall, you've got your spindles gusseted, so you'll either need to weld on the spindle brackets or bend the brackets slightly to get them to fit.

that sucks. Not surprised though. Grew up there. Cool area. The local schools would do field trips there a lot. That will suffer a lot.

I’m biased because I work in the HFC industry, but I think this is encouraging if they can make good on their goals and actually follow through. The fact that they address the issues of water consumption for the electrolysis process, the use of salt domes for long term energy storage, and the transition from coal to hydrogen for the IPP makes it seem like they might actually have a front to back plan rather than just, “buy an EV and put in solar panels and save the planet”.

I imagine it’s also a good thing in terms of jobs in Millard County as well. God knows that part of the state needs all the help it can get.

 

Wow that is cool. Hopefully it can help push Hydrogen more into the for front of possibilities. Be cool to see how it plays out.

All that money and no spare cv

 

A spare probably would not have helped until they could get the old one out and a new wheel bearing/hub in there. But yeah, I get your gist. No real understanding of the rig they are breaking.

 

I liked what they did to be able to make the brakes still useable even though there was no hub and disk in that caliper. Definitely a creative solution.

And that use of a shovel reminded me of something somewhere in our past adventures.

 

I doubt they would've needed a new bearing/hub if they swapped in a spare CV immediately. It was driving with no clamping force on the bearing that killed it.

 

That was a great video. I like that tow truck even better than Matt's Offroad Recovery, which is one my dad watches all the time.

A bit of wood works well for this too, should you happen to carry some leveling 2x6's with you Firewood or even a branch would work too.

 

I fell out of interest with Matt's channel when it seems they went the way of bigger and more dramatic things. His fraud charges don't look great either. Rory's channel is as authentic as it gets of a guy using a cell phone filming his work, no BS.

 

That was an amazing recovery. I love the front pivot thing they do.
