Bummer, glad we got to run it last year!

If you see a local club that needs support or a way to donate or anything pass it along.

It's FS according to my map. The ranch up there uses it though, I talked to some ranch hands from there when I was fishing.

It's a FS road. They in years past have done work on it to keep it open. But this seems pretty bad. Photos don't look great. Will be very expensive I'll bet.

Definitely. I'm already seeing signs of local clubs coming up with plans to organize for something.

Also just fyi speaking of closed trails, repairs start on the bridge soon. They are making runs next weekend to prep for it I think. So that's cool.

ANd man! I forgot we ran it last year! Seems like 2 years ago haha that was fun, glad we did it too.

"Well, if you had any plans to come up the Morrison Jeep Trail this year I would cancel them. With all this moisture we had huge rock slides on 10 switchbacks. This is going to be a major fix and have been told it will not even be worked on this year and closed. The pictures do not do justice to the damage of the road. "

RIP. That will take some proper work to ever make passable in 4 wheels again. Expect it to re-open as a single track in the future. What a bummer.

The wet spring is great here, went from drought to filled reservoirs and 2-3" of rain expected this weekend.

yeah we went for 70% snow pack in the last week of April to 140% after Memorial day. Hell they just reopened Beartooth pass yesterday after that storm. Mountains are snow capped still heavily. Will hit 90 though this coming week so should see some melt off.

It will take some serious doing. I'll be surprised if it stays open. But I also know a LOT of people will want it to be open so that could help. helped a lot with the trail in MT that almost closed.

Only thing that matters will be the $$$$. Also curious with how much of that face slumped in the first image, if some engineering would be needed to stabilize the slope. It's possible with the right money that's for sure

Tis the norm these days. All the trails we ran a decade ago are almost a whole next class in terms of difficulty. The off-road boom as of late has not helped. Lots more trail traffic causes more erosion, and prohibits small plants from growing in and along the trail to stabilize the soil so it then eroded even faster with the rain and runoff. There is not case of a road getting better naturally. And like mentioned earlier, who is going to pay to maintain roads/trails like that?

Yeah no doubt. I still think a big factor was the popularity of UTVs and their miss use. Indeed the wear and tear would have still happened but I think UTVs accelerated it a lot.

Digs to the bottom would be a more diplomatic way of saying it. Kept moving though and didn't get stuck so that's a win.

I watched his stuff before the corvair. Lost interest around the time it came along. Much prefer Rory from Moab motorsports stuff.

Hit up the Pryor's this weekend even with a shit forecast of rain.

Was super worth it. I can not believe how much moisture is up there. It's so freaking green and lush. Was also pretty sloppy bit wasn't awful for an over nighter.

Tried going to the top to a spot I like but we were greatest with 5-6' of snow in the camp spot. So went back down and found a nice spot in the trees.

I randomly threw in the shade thing I bought for the horse race years ago. Sucker might live in the kit now. Was awesome cause we got there and it rained for a good hour. Stopped long enough to enjoy eating our steak by the fire. Then started back up in the morning. Was nice to make breakfast in the dry.

Didn't explore too much since it was sloppy but tried a couple of new roads and went to a cave.

On another note. Looks like the forest service is hoping to have Morrison cleared and opened by July 15th it's usual opening date. Pending other issues. But no plans to close it.

Also all the rivers here are scary high. Few bridges down and flooding happening. Supposed to heat up this week to to start the run off. Shit is flowing hard.

Looks wet but fun! I went out just for the day here as the weather was set to change in the night. Found a few new campsite to revisit at a later time.

Our mountains are under flash flood watches. Been raining heavy all day here and town, 1-2"+ in the mountains is what they called for. We went from drought to saturated in only a couple months. Pretty bizarre.

Yeah same here. Lot of flood watches. Rained all weekend basically. Good ole climate change keeping us on our toes.

We are getting so much moisture now. And south is getting none.
