I would be fine with it if it rained M-F and sunny on the weekends but nooooo! Only rains on the weekends.

 

Seriously. I feel like I'm back in st Louis

 

Need some of that rain down here in New Mexico. All of our National Forests are closed due to some of the worst wildfires in New Mexico history.

 

Yeah we seem to have stolen everyone moisture. Think Cali is dry as a bone too.

 

Didn't the feds start those in purpose?

 

We're getting much of that moisture too, WA has had crazy amounts of rainfall

 

Yeah pretty much the whole north part of the country has had a majorly wet may and June.

 

for the last...4? 5? 6? weeks? it has been sunny and nice m-f and rain/thunderstorms on the weekens. on fucking repeat. its unreal.
also no snow for most of the winter, then spring hits and boom, seemingly record moisture april/may

 

Exactly the same here. Stuck at work for ncie weather, home just in time for weekend rain.

 

shit is nuts here.

Red lodge is flooding, main street is now Rock Creek.

Roscoe is flooding

Rosebud rivers are tearing down bridges and flooding.

Stillwater river is flooding houses.

I just got sent home from work due to risk of bridges going out.

Wild.

 

luckily on the rainy weekends, ive just been hitting the river since its at peak flow right now. Who cares if its raining when youre getting launched in the river anyway. slap on the wetsuit/dry suit and get out there lol

 

annnnnnd yellowstone park is closed now. Roads are gone and bridges. Whole north side of the park is getting worked over. After they just reopened all the roads this year.

 

We had an 1" of rain in the valley. One of the mountain towns took 3". Sounds like we only got a sip of water from those clouds before they hit you guys.

paddle boarding on the river has been a wild, fast moving adventure lol. peak flows are a moving!

 

I don't, the rivers are scary right now. The stillwater is at 19,000+CFS and usually it's around 3600 CFS. Fuckin nuts. Everything is flooding. All bridges are closed now, damaged or just plain gone.

The photos a videos going around are insane.

 

it didn't seem like much honestly. Just constant. Think it's just the perfect storm so to speak of a lot of factors. And its only just begining. This is gonna be a rough week for people. Im leaving tomorrow for AK for a couple days so i'll miss most of it.

Does red lodge normally have flood problems? Looking at the map it's a pretty small creek and a pretty big drainage. Easy to see how it could get overwhelmed.

 

no not like this. I mean of course the rivers here rise every spring with snow melt a lot. But this is unreal. So much damage is being done in our county and Carbon county. It'll be months before its all repaired. And levels are still rising I think.
