Nice what kind of band?

 

Idk how to place it, our originals would be grunge and pink Floyd esque. Still on the ground floor obviously, but getting something recorded to be able to put it out there is one of the next steps

 

Very cool. I'd be interested. I don't have a nice studio space per say, but could use the one in Powell. Or if you are wanting to record live basically(all playing at once) then I could probably come down there if you have a largish space.

 

Sweet! I'm not sure how we want to do it yet, but when the time comes we can figure it out. Have no issue with traveling to Powell if that is an option that works for you. We are playing in casper next summer but have nothing for live events lined up before then. I'll call you when we have a plan and we can discuss further. I'd send you something to get your opinion but all I have is gopro footage that is too large to send.

 

just get a cellphone video of rehearsal sometime of a tune or two you'd be interested in recording just to give me an idea. Should fit in Dropbox or other similar thing. Or hidden YouTube link.

finally knocked it off the list. Solo'd the grand for my first time up yesterday via the OS route (with an accidental trip up the optional Owen chimney). 13:45 car to car, with a 30 min summit stop and 40 min of getting lost route finding. About a half mile of sheer exposure for the first half of the final push to the top lol

some good la sportiva approach shoes, are like having maxxis trepadors
so sticky its almost cheating

 

Love approach shoes for even an every day shoe. I work, hunt and hike in mine. Just picked up some Scarpa's Zodiacs, was considering the TX4 also but saw some reviews with the top eye breaking.

 

i swear by the tx4 lol. incredible approach shoe. approach shoes are too heavy and stiff for a normal walk around town/office shoe imo.

 

@Blackdawg, @m3bassman, @drr, @IDtrucks What gauge sheet metal did y'all use for your front tubbing job?

 

Tried 16ga, was a PITA to form, switched to 22ga. Much easier to shape. But I did it in one big piece so I wanted it to be more malleable.

 

Hmm okay, maybe I'll grab a sheet of 20 then. I'm going to try and do it all in one piece

 

yeah maybe I did 20...It was either 20 or 22. I guess lemme look in the great book of the build thread ha

 

I just glanced there and didn't see a spec, but I did see how clean Frank's tub job is...

I just used what I found at the store that was "close enough".

 

Thanks guys, I'll go for 20ga, it's readily available and I can cut it with snips too which is a bonus for getting fitment decent
