Yeah it's nasty out there. I've gotta drive down to Utah tomorrow and while it's expensive I figure the van is the right vehicle to take in case the roads get closed I'll have a warm safe space to escape to no matter what.

Truck campers are too compromised. A van is not as cool but way more versatile. I can and do use the front seats when playing games or having dinner. Going down the highway we can run to the back for a snack or drink. We get the whole footprint all of the time. A truck camper you only really get half your footprint to use when driving and half of it when camping. Sure I am biased but we were close to pulling the trigger on a 4wheel camper, but now I look at them and think that they just aren't as practical or efficient (space wise) as a van setup. That said, I know I can't get into as many places as easily as a truck camper but that reduces the places to go by less than 1%.

Eh maybe for you 1%. I'd say there are a ton of places I've been and go that that van would not be fun to get in or out of places.

And a lot of places that it can but not nearly as quickly or smoothly.

Just doesn't fit my style. Is cool for sure. But to big and too fat.

Not that this camper is perfect either but is interesting to see some other competition out there. I'm still pretty happy with the rtt life. But a camper topper is the next step for me. If that's even viable. To me it's the best all around setup you could ask for. Very capable rig still, not too heavy, good use of space, big boost in comfort, no real change in driving style. Whole lotta wins.

On and like 10x cheaper than your van haha

Interesting. First I've heard of them. Have to wait and see how they pan out, especially after seeing GFC's growing pains and revisions. There is a video in there from Lone Peak where he discusses a couple changes from the prototype they are showcasing, and both would give me pause to be a beta tester. the price is sweet, but I don't think it'll be anywhere near the structural rigidity of the GFC. I love seeing new players in the market though. It's only going to be a net positive for the consumer to have more competition in the space.

Yeah I just got an add for it. Didn't looks ultra close at it. But more players in the game is always nice.

    Evening,

My wife and I have been looking to move to Wyoming from the communist state of Virginia. I was out there for July and Aug last year looking at property. Retired military current contractor needing to get away from people. Will be back out again sometime on April or May for about 60 days. I usually homebase at Warrwn AFB. If anyone knows of a reputable realtor that will actually return calls or work please let me know. Also up for meeting for a beer as I travel most of the state. Thanks in advance.

    Happy hunting.

I don't know if any realtors anymore. But market is hot down there, mostly, so could be busy or over run.

If you’re looking for a home in the Dubois or Jackson area my wife can help you out, she is with Engel and Volkers. If you are are looking in other areas she can at least attempt to point you in the direction of someone who is responsive and takes the job seriously.

If you're fleeing communist crap avoid Jackson and everything near it. It's stupid overpriced and in the good weather it's flooded with douche-knots(manbuns), flannel that's never seen work, and blue hair. Everything close to it is being invaded as well because Jackson is too expensive for regular incomes.
