I think you're spot on with that. Historically I have never taken many photos at Shoshone.

Probably can't tell that Frank is a Tacoma, let alone what year!

Besides wrecking the paint. Not that it matters in the long run.

Chevy 5.3 out of a 01 Tahoe. Big gamble since I have to take the sellers word that its ok. Gonna rebuild the top end so just praying the bottom end is solid.

I'll take a look. I still have a lot of research to do. Luckily I have the LS Bible to guide me through it.

    Could change but this kit:
    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-ck54-701-11

Machine the heads, clean and reseal it all, and of course nitrous for the track. One of the hardest parts of this will be finding an oil pan that fits, it's basically the pinnacle of the builds success or not.

hm think I remember reading about one that fit. But can't remember where or what it was.

just make your own if you have too.

I won't know until I get the engine mounted in and take measurements. Then I can shop around and see if I need to have something modified.

Aaaaaaannndd I'm done taking your advice.

Without a doubt it has to go front sump and it's gonna have to be shallow. Stock truck pans are rear sump and hit the steering rack and crossmember :p
