Yea, but most of the rest of the state pretends Jackson isn’t in Wyoming either.

Hey guys, just catching up on this thread. Would a mostly stock 3rd Gen DCLB be able to handle the trips you're planning? Mostly looking at the flex going on in @Blackdawg's pics from a couple pages back and wondering how much I'm looking to push my daily driver.

If my big van is going through it, your truck can. Being able to be smooth and in control is the key, but generally the biggest damage you'll see is from sticks and branches. The crew hear is long past worrying about that stuff so it do not come up in conversation when we earn new scratches.

The last few times I washed my truck I've found more and more scratches and dings. Decided fun is better than resale value since I've been getting out and wheeling more, plus I'm hoping to keep it to at least 150k miles anyway.

Just to not put my foot in my mouth, are the trips open-invite for folks on here? Never met any of you guys but I like to think I'm pleasant to be around, I'm not a total rookie with the offroad stuff and can pretty much pull my own weight, plus I do actually live in WY haha

If it was private you wouldn't see it ;) there are a lot of trips that are planned in the shadows, and this one hasn't been. Just know, this is a highly experienced crew who are laid back and enjoy good trails, good experiences and good company, as long as you can contribute to that you are welcome in my book.

Addictive or expensive? How much have we cost you at this point? I'm nearing $100k I think between the truck and van.

    Why not both?

The expense doesn't bother me a bit. Missing two trips in a row ... :annoyed::censored::help::frusty::tumbleweed::nuclear:

Pryor run is super easy stuff. Nothing hard over there at all. However, if you have stock OEM tires you could have issues. Very rock(small lil fucks) and definietly tire popping territory. But other than that. Nothing else required.

Where abouts are you at? Your profile says southwest Wy. Be a bit of a drive from Rock springs area. But some of these guys are coming from way further.

Who's fault is that eh? :luvya:

After all these years Ive heard a lot of reasons folks can't make a trip. Can't get the time off, family matters truck is broken, but leave it to Dan to have his truck in a climate controlled storage facility 1000 miles from home being the reason he can't go :luvya:

I feel like having two trucks would solve all those problems.
