Found my skid plate bolts. They were in one of my cases. Which means yes I had them the whole time while in Utah.

I got home a little bit ago. From camp in the Red Lakes area, about halfway between West Yellowstone and I-15, is about 12 hours of driving to get here. A lot more than I would normally be comfortable doing.

No trouble until I left Spokane. A brutal headwind required 21 gallons to go 275 miles. That's ugly. Then there was the cow running against traffic (towards me) on I-90 thru the middle of Moses Lake. Could have been really ugly. Then, right after crossing over Snoqualmie pass there was an old Ram pick-up up on top of some concrete barriers, with every corner bashed in. It didn't appear to have rolled. But about a 1/2 mile further on (it is very steep in this area) was a trailer with another Ram truck strapped to it. The trailer and the truck were pilled into the cliff. Fortunately, there didn't appear to anyone else involved.

Really tired, but it was a great adventure. So much fun. :hattip:

Mama grizz and two cubs were in the park. Stood on the roof of the van to get the shot which still isn't that great haha

That's a long haul indeed. I somehow managed to have a tailwind the entire trip. Today's drive seemed to take much longer than it was for whatever reason. Honestly I think the shocks are getting worse, it was bumpy going home, something I didn't notice on the way east. So that's moving up the list of things to sort out sooner than later.

If you keep coming with us, yeah you'll need new shocks haha The road up we took without you guys was steeper and rougher than then maybe any of the roads I've done there. Which isn't that much. But you would not have had fun.

Did find 2 more caves though.

Holy shit. finally back home. It was 48 and rainy...and ive never been so happy lol. Compared to the 95 and 100% humidity the day we put the boat away, it was such a beautiful relief. It feels like I just woke up from a dream...such a different life then the one I just reentered.

    Welcome back!

Spring is the best. Cool and rainy evenings.

Hey @BossFoss how confident are you that the transmission I bought from you works?

There's a white double cab Tacoma that just popped up for sale. It's got 232k on it looks very clean trd with a blower on it. But the tranny is blown on it. Because of that, it's only 3800. Thinking I could have a "simple" flip on hand here and make a decent buck.

Uhh, you know I don't know. The ratios are probably different and you'd have to use the VZ bell housing and TC for sure ... Thing is different a340s came with different speed sensors and I'm not sure if any of that is going to be compatible

Granted I got stalled out by the thief in New Zealand but upon tearing the engine down during the rebuild there was nothing out of spec on it so I have no reason to believe the trans was trash
