Not a bad looking bumper. Tho the swing out spindle does look lonely.

 

Overhaul time?

 

The bearing at the top of the spidle failed on the last day of our trip. Ordered a new one, just waiting for it to get here.

From the looks of this race, it had been failing for a while.

 

Any room for a zerk to grease that thing? Looks like it's had water intrusion for quite some time.

Speaking of blown shocks. One of my foxes looks like it gave up the ghost.

Can't complain or be surprised as I think I've put 100k or more on them and not been all nice miles. Think my dad has a nitro kit still so hopefully just rebuild both. Front are probably over due as well.



On top of that. One of my either lower spherical bearings is dead already or the bolt is shit or something. Was going to go camping today but was checking play while swapping tire and now won't be.

So new lower bolt or something needs done and ITRe and I've got new upper ball joints too.

Speaking of, working to get some custom valved shocks for the van in the next month. We will see if that helps things a bit.

 

100K is a lotta miles for a street only shock so yours are long over due. For the front spherical bearings, highly recommend adding the fox rubber seals. IMO they are a game changer.

Broke a rear leaf in little red so just upgraded to some OMEs. Turns out my shocks were blown as well but I always overload the back with supplies while working. More surprised it did as well as it did being used hard everyday

I did get those this go around. I didn't tear it apart today but will tomorrow or Sunday and see what's actually causing the play. The other side is tight as can be. I think I replaced them either this winter or last fall or something. Pretty recent.

I like how we both overload our single cabs regularly hahaha

I redid my single cab suspension after I split a leaf spring and new I'd be hauling water with it. I did 5100s though.

 

i have a good freind getting married in jackson 7/21....might change plans slightly for joining for that leg of the trip. Will have to check w/ the ol boss man and see what time I can take during that week, since i can't use the weekend to get there/start the trip

Looks like GFC made a some big upgrades to their camper. Looks nice.

Dan, Brett, and Brett you guys will be able to get upgrade kits next month for various things. That's also cool.

 

Does look like some nice upgrades.

We'll see how many are applicable to my old V1.

 

well id hope the mattress and the tent would be. But who knows I suppose. I think Brett(lander)'s is also a v1 too.
