Plus, I'm going to be the slacker this time. Or maybe "again, for the third time in a year." I bet you guys will meet up Friday night or Saturday, and I'm going to have to meet you on Sunday (evening probably). We fly back into SEA on Saturday from a family reunion.

New shocks are sitting in my kitchen, fingers crossed I can swap them in the parking lot this week too bad it's so damn hot.

 

I'm betting you'll be able to find us (or me anyway) via aprs beacon where ever we end up that night.

Fairmont Hot Springs just south of, and I kid you not, Crackerville

Where we will be on Sunday, not a freaking clue. Never been to any of these spots and also not even sure if some of the routes I have to connect things are even roads that are open/public. Plus I barely have that much mapped out. Mostly just be looking at the map to get to a few spots.

Hopefully we will get in and through Wise River MT on Sunday so that could be a good place to aim for. If we are camping we'll either be north of that road depending(and most Ben's pace lol) or we'll be south of there. Again, no real idea where though. Gonna be a real adventure and figure it out as we go mostly. I have like 5-6 Lakes to aim for and tons of mines. See whats what!

Need to rip the shock of Igor to see if its an easy fix...or a bad one. Fixed my jack at least so it works again.

No. It's either the bolt is fucked, the bearing, the spacers....or worse the shock tabs are rounded out, which would really suck.

 

Although Im sure they could use a rebuild haha

 

Just the rears to see if it feels better, can do the fronts next. The front isn't really a big problem, or at least I can't tell with the rear wobbling around so bad. I wanted to do all 4 corners bad put tires on my car this month. Today I was strongly considering selling it to open up some cash for fixing the AC in my truck, ball joints, etc and possibly a new camera lens. Need to sleep on the idea for a week but seems logical at this point.

 

The front is also contributing to the sway for sure. But it also works a lot better in flexible spots obviously.

 

I'd like to blame my family, since it certainly can't be my fault.

The issue is the rear oscillating uncontrollably. To me that the big issue, it's under damped. The front is hamstrung by only have 2 inches of up travel before I hit the bumps. The shocks won't change that geometry. But the front doesn't oscillate so I'll just wait and see how the rear feels then look at options for the front.

I have taken little red camping. Needs AC more than anything. God especially now..

 

I forget - no A/C at all, or just not working? Getting mine working again turned out to be not as hard as I thought it might be... just sayin.

 

His is an SX, they didn't come with AC at all, the only reason any of the other few SX owners on TW have it is because they have dealer installed aftermarket AC

 

This will stir the pot I'm sure, but I am leaning towards using non-oem ball joints on the green truck this next go around. Being that it isn't subject to the big tires, the off road abuse, I am feeling that the cheaper options should suffice for the next 50k miles. Try to get that done when I take it in to get the AC fixed next month and the truck should be fine for a while with me selling the car.

Anyone have a lead on a front bumper? Need to put something on this thing too.

 

No AC at all.

Burtal in the summer at time. But actually hazardous in the winter since I don't have defrost basically.

I thought it was an option but not a dealer install one. Just had to opt for it.

I'd do it but I now how much of a PITA it'll be to mount the compressor mount to the engine. Plus finding one of those will be a pain.

Just get some Moogs. What I run on the daily. Totally fine.

I'll keep any eye out for bumper. Was a part out near me recently.
