Yeah the 100-400 is a great lens. Certainly easier to justify too.

With 4 stops of IS it is pretty incredible what you can do. It is exhausting to hand hold due to the weight, but I almost always have it on the monopod slung over my shoulder. My chest harness is great, minus the fact the lens hood hits my knees!

Haha that would be great for many things. There's just no getting around just how large the lens is. Here it is next to the 100-400 fully extended.
    PXL_20240701_040233343.jpg

The lens diameter is also massive.
    PXL_20240701_040254883.jpg
For perspective most lens come in a pouch, this comes in a hard case.

It certainly was bigger than I anticipated  so far I do love it, but lots to learn with it.

In unrelated news, the AMG is cleaned up and photographed, ready to be sold at auction. This one hurts, but it's for good reasons.

Cars and bids. Mostly curious to see how it does. It's sold twice in there before I got it, $18,750, then I bought it for $17,750. The market is way softer now, it has more mileage and a could new dings. Plus, I will disclose EVERYTHING that I know is wrong, unlike the previous sellers... So my mind is set to expect $13k. Any more I'm happy, any less, I'll be a little sad. Of course it'll be no reserve!

Thanks man. I'm not too worried about it. I'll miss the car, the sensation of speed and the ear-gasms.

One of the stock Behr ones from a Mercedes TT V12. They're a dime a dozen on eBay. Specifically the right side intercooler from a SL65

Hell no. The little red truck!

Just piecing together things and figuring out budget. I have a lot of it of course but need haltech and turbo. Then lines and things. Was just looking at intercooler things last night.

Also you ever use a QSV? Found a cool one that's water cooled. I bet that's be fun for me.
