I wouldve got a lot more done if it was that cool outside more to do in the AM. It currently is missing a shock in the right rear, and I honestly didn't feel like it drove any different down the street, so I'm super excited to see how actual shocks on this thing do. You were there when we test drive it, didn't ride nice then, probably a bit worse now.

 

Those rears probably haven't been doing much for a very long time.

 

Ironically they were supposedly changed just a couple years ago. I suspect, as all Bilstein products, they were inferior and failed pretty quick. Let's get a week of trails in the tears and the fronts may be going to the graveyard soon too.

So will anyone have 120v I can bum to charge my handheld a couple nights?

Rather make sure my bases are covered, I don't know that your inverter maybe failed in the last couple months. Rather ask them show up, and run out of radio in day 4.

New shocks on and it's certainly better on the test drive. Not perfect, but better. Need to play around with airbag pressures to see if I can find the sweet spot.

 

Finally fixing the awning pole huh? No more threat of bodily injury makes it a bit more compelling I suppose

 

I've got my inverter on hand as well if anyone needs a charge. Keep it for the laptops and the dumb camera

 

Parts will be here this week for that one. I was trying to knock out the big jobs this weekend. Rotate tires, oil, shocks and refill water. Awning this week and a cleaning. Should be ready pretty easily.

 

Where do you refill the water these days?

 

When I can..... Lasted 2a couple months as I filled it back in March and it just ran dry last week

 

So a put a few more miles on the van and can conclude they are much better than before. Reduced the oscillations significantly but don't hide the fact of how much weight is still back there. The issue seems to be the side to side sway still, although it's not as bad. I think I need to look into putting a rear sway bar on next.

 

It seems like it could be a few things. Worn leaf packs comes to mind which could still be overpowering the new shocks. Maybe the shocks could used better valving for the application. Glad to hear things are better though.

 

Non-clapped leaf packs and airbags that are long enough to support them which you currently don't have would go a long ways to helping too.
