    The hardest/funniest part is just getting used to it. Coworkers only know me as parker and I haven't quite evolved to responding to it when people yell it across the factory :laugh:

    The story goes that my parents chose Parker as my name up until I was born and in the moment changed to Benjamin.

    No, not for a truck that is 4K when bone stock. But even at 6K, Es are a bit much. C or D rated tires are much more comfortable all around. P/SL are just trail maypops waiting to happen.

    I feel this isn't uncommon honestly. My father-in-law and all 4 of his brothers go by their middle names. Weird at first but I now notice it more so with many people.

    That's true but they clearly state they won't valve or rebuild the kings. The foxes they have are $1000 more but the valving is "free". Still might be the way to go. Need to contact them and ADS to at least fully understand my options.
    Yeah it isn't uncommon. I know someone else in this thread that does the same. I mean, we don't have to like the name we were assigned at birth :laugh:

    And since I'm down the rabbit hole now, how significant of a difference do you get with the shock adjusters, going from one end to the other? Is it "worth it?" Or do you tend to dial it in and never touch it again.

    I mess with mine a lot, worth noting that King/ADS offer compression adjusters while Fox and Elka(?) offer both compression and rebound adjusters. Compression adjusters are nice though, they give you some control over ride feel and handling depending on the road and the load without having to open up the shock. It's nice being able to unload my truck entirely and have it ride nicely on the pavement still

    Hardcore shock dudes will say they aren't worth it. For the average user, I think they are helpful. They do work they just work in an "inefficient" way so people going for race truck status turn their noise up at them. But most those folks are doing the bypass game anyways.

    I feel like every rig and combination of components is going to be different. So it becomes a matter of feel and what you like.

    Personally I prefer more control offroad, especially in higher speed with varied/rough terrain. And on the highway I like a softer, plusher ride. But the settings I like for off pavement end up being too harsh on pavement.

    I have compression clickers on the front. They have a range of 0 to 20. Around town (below 40-50 mph) 0 to 5 is fine but that is a little soft at 70 mph so I usually up to the middle setting (10) for long highway drives. I did notice that towards the end of the rebuild cycle, I needed a click or two higher on all settings, probably due to the shock oil needing changing. Or maybe it was a loss a nitrogen pressure.

    The offroad setting I use can depend on terrain. 10-15 clicks is typical for most FSRs. However, places like the Mojave road, 15 -20 adds a level of comfort because that stiffness combined with the aired down tires is a great combination.

    I took that as when you purchase they come with the free custom tune. Looks like 25% off service work though.


    I use the DSCs pretty frequently. Soften everything on the street and firm it up in the rocks to get rid of the rocking ship effect. I do think they can be tuned better though but the adjustments are noticeable.

    Explored around the Santa Fe NF and winter decided to say hello. Not too unexpected at 8500ft.

    I think my 24-105 is dying. Keeps losing connection with the body and the chromatic abirritation seems to be getting worse, every photo takes a lot of work to thwart it. Fingers crossed its repairable.

    I bought it used. One of the risks I suppose.

    I'm not sure why the CA would get worse with time, I thought there's a coating on the glass itself that helps reduce it. But it is annoying that I have so much fixing of it with this lens, none of my other L glass is anywhere near this, and it's gotten to be worse than any of the lenses I've used before. Really disappointing.

    Usually means an lens element is out of alignment.

    I'd just send it in. They will fix it and it'll be solid for years again.

    Could be true. Somethings not right and with it losing communication with the body, it leaves me with a massive gap... Nothing under 70mm :eek:
