Few things. It's Dan's discord. But can make a new one if we want. Literally only Todd and I use it mostly and sometimes sam.

    We have been playing

    Battlefield 2042
    Helldivers 2
    Deep rock galactic

    Those are our main ones.

Also do halo sometimes. Few others. Try new ones too.

Splitegate was fun when it was going.

So mostly fps. But have done stuff like valhiem. And open to other things.

I get the work thing. Stay busy.

I'm always down to play halo and love playing co op campaign. That's actually what got me back into games. I too bought the mcc collection to play them all as I'd never done it since I'd never had an Xbox just oc. So only had halo ce and 2 originally on PC.

Dan started playing through all of them with me on legendary difficulty during covid. Made it through the start of halo 3 and then I had to solo it.

Only rts game I have experience with is age of empires 2. Which was awesome.

I also play space rangers 2 which isn't real time but is a strategy game. Was cool.

Nothing wrong with an escape lol I know I do the same, and I guess luckily I play a type of game that you can multi-task in.

Yeah I like sweaty games kind of. I mean not really but I can get competitive about it I suppose. Depends on my mood. Fun to just do silly fun shit too. Fun to pull of clutch stuff in some games though. In general Todd and I usually play on the highest difficulty for most games. Because it can generate some wild situations which is fun.

But I still multitask. Gotta eat ice cream and game! haha

I find enough stress at work and in life that when I game I want something that is rather relaxed. Flight sim isn't easy, so it doesn't bore me but it is more relaxed. Especially days like today I'll play a bit and it'll have some challenge if my mission set is in the SW where we are gonna have super high winds today.

Yeah I get that. I don't ever think of it as stress or stressful. I suppose in some odd way its some derivative form of type II fun BS probably.

That and my job isn't what i'd call stressful usually.

So the old trucks acting up on me lately, but can't get it to throw a code. The only way I can describe it is at speed, when I'm just barely giving it any throttle, say on the verge of coasting and maintening speed on a slight downhill, it somehow feels like the engine is stalling and then firing again. I feel a jolt as if I were bump starting it at speed. It's bizarre. Sometimes it's one cough, sometimes the cough lasts a second and I put my foot down and it wakes back up with a jolt. I get that there's some bit of transition between on and off throttle, but never had it jolt the whole truck. I replaced the driveshaft, coils, plugs and wires, so they only thing I can think of is it dropping fuel pressure? Curious if anyone has any thoughts on it.

Did you double check the gap on the plugs? You got the right ones for the SC right?

    OEM wires?

Sounds like a loose connection to me. Maybe verify all your grounds are solid.

The only one I could think is at the battery. I would be surprised as it isn't exactly sporadic, there is definitely a specific set of variables that make it happen. I would expect it to happen with a loose ground on the daily "jumps" I do ( road to work is a half mile of 4' long, 12" tall speed humps that I have fun on :anonymous:)

Now that's a decent guess. Cheap part too so not too painful to throw at it. And that might explain my sporadic long crank and random high idle.

Side question, what's a normal timing for cruising down the highway? Is 29* normal? I just happened to notice that when trying to duplicate this issue and I guess I would have thought it wouldn't be advanced that far, but I have nothing to base it on.

01, still the old school cable. I've replaced it before many moons ago, so probably not a bad guess since it's probably a cheaper rock auto part.

Light throttle cruising like slight downhill can be as high as 35-40° light throttle fast cruising (where wind resistance is a factor) is somewhere from 22-32° depending on factors. Heavy acceleration is gonna be 8-18 depending on factors and boost. yours sounds normal for timing advance

Sat in on the first 30 minutes of the econ class my buddy Bill was teaching today because I knew it was going to be just a world class showstopper of hilarious questions. I was not disappointed.
