Its really hard to just roll by so much beautiful terrain lol I would love to take a whole summer off and drive all the way up the Alaskan highway!! Wouldn't that be awesome. knowing me though I'd finally make it to Glacier and I'd mess around there to long and have to come home cuz I was out of time hahaha

It is, gorgeous up there. I want to visit again this summer on my way to meet some T4R guys in Canada. But I'm not sure I'll be able to get to Canada this year... gas $$ and all. :(

Some pictures when I visited in October of 2011. I took about 2K pictures in about 3 days. These are just a few and FAR from my best.

    thanks

I find most of them....yours is the only one I made. :itllbuffout: sign_6ad4cd5497c164cb5bef0c69e4e40a5479db3f44.jpg

And I hate you....I really want to go camping this weekend. I'd have to get everything packed tonight though to do it :(

    keep talkin'

Ever hear anyone talk about Hyalite Canyon in MT? That's just south of me and very popular with climbers. They have a week long festival every year

 Never go fishing in Alaska then

Should have spoken up sooner....just missed out on a group buy for the RTT's

I gotta get working on that huh?

I know. I have a tentative plan for June, I want to do the 5 day/3 state/2 park trip in July, and then we have your meet in August.

I've been dying to hike the Bechler area of Yellowstone but you have to get backcountry permits and what not.

I lived in AK for a couple of years. Fishing regs are a PITA, nothing like down here. Its almost easier to hire a guide to take you out. You have to walk out the same way you walk in (to minimize disturbance to the gravel beds and salmon eggs), can't wander up or down stream as you fish, access is limited so you end up jammed with a bunch of other fishermen. Look up "Kenai combat fishing" and you'll see what I mean.

Yea every time i fished in AK was with a guide or something. Other then my Grandpas cabin on the Kenai. But even then we would just boat out to a spot and drop anchor. or drift.

    Where at on the Kenai?

Which village? I do a lot of work up there, probably have one of my buildings there.
